Esks are not a good team right now and have to get some things figured out but I am more frustrated with the refs. I can deal with us getting beat but some calls the refs make me lose it. I don't care if we deserve a penalty but call the game fair. PI is becoming a joke and they seem to like to call holding when they feel like. The contacting the kicker call is the rule only called when leg is in the air? Can we find a ref that can actually speak English? He seemed to make face collar up on the Special teams tackle. Spend some money on refs.

Re: Refs
Yup, that's a 40 point loss without a couple miracle plays and an awful kicker on the other sidelines.Originally posted by glenvb View PostWe do seem to be victimized a lot. But replay that game with refs in our favour, and we lose by 50 tonight. We had a few horseshoes to get to that score.

Re: Refs
The refs drove me crazy in that game too. I think that the eskimos receivers and other teams are offside 70% the time and the refs call it when they want. If they are offside call it, If there is holding call it, basically if there is a penalty call it quit picking and choosing. That is the part that drives me crazy. It didn't happen in this game but when a receiver goes offside, causes a PI and than the offence gets a first down. PI was called because the receiver got a head start. It does not make sense.Last edited by Wanger; 09-10-2010, 10:40 PM.

Re: Refs
For me I have always wanted the refs to be consistant. If they are going to call something PI, then make that same call all the time. I may not like the call, but I know that if it happens like that again it is going to be called. I would say, well they have been calling it like that all year. This year in particular has been bad for the inconstantant calls that way."Beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy."

Re: Refs
I agree that the Eskimos are not a good football team but call the game right regardless the score. If it is PI call PI. It would not have changed the out come of the game but would help to remove some of the frustration the players are feeling. Iif they could finish a drive and not get any positives taken away by a terrible call or non call. Small steps it what the Eskimos need to do to get out of this rut. I hate losing but getting screwed by the refs makes it tougher to take.Originally posted by earl2 View PostThis team isn't even remotely good enough to justify complaining about the officiating.
Calling the PI they missed against Kelly Campbell doesn't change a damn thing.
The score flattered the Eskimos today.

That call was damn baffling though, you have to admit. The guy clocked Kelly a full second before the ball arrived

It is bad enough we have to watch this football team play. I don't want to watch a call as blatant and obvious as the one on Kelly Campbell ignored, it is bad enough we have to watch this team play.Originally posted by earl2 View PostThis team isn't even remotely good enough to justify complaining about the officiating.
