Still, assuming the injury last night ends the poor guy's season only, his tenure may be over with the Eskimos. We all know what happens to players that seem to get injured a lot.

At his age and salary, he won't be back with the EE for sure. Maybe he catches on somewhere else....

KP8 is done. Very sad to see for such a class act.

At least the door knob that low balled Peterson knocked him self out.

This is football, not ballet. Unfortunately, injuries are a part of the game that all teams have to deal with. B.C. also had their fair share last night. However, you still play the blood game the way it's supposed to be played, not by kneeling down when you're supposed to be returning a kick off - unless you're instructed to concede a single point. If this was a coaching decision, they're stupider than I originally thought and they'll all be gone at the end of the season anyhow.

Maciocia, Hall, Strasser, Hairston and Thorpe are finally all gone. The rest will take care of itself.

Good luck Kavis Reed and the rest of the Esks' new coaching staff!

I think that was a cheap shot personally.............no need for those in the game

Bingo. We've seen the last of Kp8 in an Eskimo uniform. He had one very good year here, so thanks for that Kp8. Then the injury bug caught up with him.

However, as you say, with his age, salary, the injuries over the last couple of seasons and also with Tillman's stated desire to upgrade the NI talent on this team and get "younger," I think you have to go with guys like Smith or Scott or others that will be signed and/or drafted in the off-season.

Jackson should be cut. He's done nothing, NOTHING since he came off the 9-game. He had all this time to "rest and heal up" and he looks like pure garbage out there.

As for KP, I think he's done as an Esk as well. I wouldn't be too upset about it either. Never been a big fan of his but he seems like a classy guy and I don't like seeing good people get hurt like that. I still didn't like how he whined to the media about last season but whatever. Hopefully he recovers enough to continue playing, just not in an Eskimos uniform.

I have to agree in regards to TJ. I thought his fumble on the first play of the second half last week against Hamilton was the reason the Ti Cats eventually went on to win that game and I know that everytime he went back last night to field a punt I was just praying for one thing "Don't fumble the ball". A returner's first priority is to field the ball cleanly and then he should see what he can do with it in terms of a return. TJ has got a couple of decent returns since coming off his injury but he has also been handling it like a hand grenade and it already has cost us too much in my opinion. I'd look at giving KC (if he's cleared to play), Weldon Brown or even Porter a shot.

Yep, gotta believe Peterson is finished as an Edmonton Eskimo.

                          Re: " That Jackson Play"

We need to get Skyler Green back from injury with both he and TJ back there and healthy we will have one of the most dynamic kkick return teams ever. I seem to remember Green had decent hands and is a wide receiver too.
Run the Ball up the gut around the horn it does not matter. We run we win what is so difficult to understand.

I will defend Winston because I doubt anyone else will... He is not in a hole, he is coaching at VMI and I suspect that he may have had something to do with Maypray coming to the CFL.... so perhaps Winston might just have another receiver to send our way???
