Don't like it but I understand it.

I understand it, but I don't like it, and I also think we didn't get as much value in return. Loftus is good, but he'll be a backup here, and we give up TV AND a pick? I think we got the short end of the stick.

I understand that the reasoning was weak and i'm less than impressed with the cost & return end of it....

Give it until the start of training camp and see what happens. There's lots of moves that could be made yet...

It was clear with all the other signings, that we needed to move one of our pricy players.

Although he did get 78 catches in 2003, he wasn't as dominant as he used to be, dropped sevaral passes, and didn't show up in big games [Sask. regular season, Winnipeg final regular season, playoff game].

His injury probably played a role....perhaps the coaching staff know more about the injury than us?

Or maybe he just is more effective as the go-to-guy.

The Esks seem to be interested in lining up Dubuc as the receiever, and with a couple of non-imports they're high on, I don't think our receiving core will miss a beat.

That said, I'd rather have traded Hervey than Vaughn..

As for gettiing Loftus....I don't know just how he will help improve this ball club.

                      Secondary is already too crowded......

Perhaps Grant might be the odd man out...

I've always felt Hervey has been a bit overrated.

That, and he's been constantly missing 6-10 games due to injuries.

Vaughn is Mr. Consistent. Even despite having his worst season of his career last year, he still racked up 78 catches. I wouldn't be surprised at the least if he gets 1500 yards next season in Montreal.

Hervey is Faster, younger and IMO its harder to find a excellent Wideout than a good inside reciever...
