Didn't Higgins try that himself several times?

Before you insult a man, walk a mile in his shoes. That way, when you insult him, you'll be a mile away, and have his shoes.

Sherritt looked and still looks like a good find but just needs some experience and seasoning so that he is more consistent from game to game. But if Peach is ready to go on the 10th, it will be an interesting decision as to who they sit from the LB corps.

Win against Sask. and we clinch at least 3rd place and put the Wheaties and their fans out of their collective misery, but a loss gives them renewed hope and make the finale against them on November 4th a meaningful game.

I get the impression that Rich Stubler is a stubborn yet loyal coach so I am betting that if Peach is ready to go on Oct 10th that it will be business as usual in the linebacking corps. Take a look at what happened last Friday night. Peach was hurt and Restelli made the 42. That did not mean that he got the start though. That put him as a sub in case somebody got hurt. I am pretty sure that the only time that Restelli was in (other than some special teams) was when Pittman got hurt and they moved some players around and Restelli played the bandit linebacker position.

esks77 -- I am curious -- it that an accurate description of Rich Stubler?

Interesting that you mention Peach, because he was exactly who came to mind when I read the initial post in the thread. As a rookie, Peach got publically roasted for looking to be burned repeatedly by Burris on the option-read, though as some that know the game well have since pointed out, he wasn't the only, or even primary culprit.

Sherritt will likely be just fine, and when you get a rookie put in a position like that, the coaches have to bear a certain amount of the weight for letting a matchup like that get exploited. I didn't have a chance to watch the tape yet (was at game) but I'm wondering if the coverage responsibility wouldn't normally have been the job of a healthy TJ Hill?

Mook....... lay off the bong brother.... it's messing with ya!
Sherritt is arguably the best defensive find we have had all year... along with Howard and Williams. The kid will learn and grow from his adversities.... just like Jed and AJ did when they were chitlins...............

Was definitely taken back by this thread. I like the guy. I loved his post-game interview after the Esks first game of the reg season. You could tell he was so pumped up, but admitted he was going to have to work harder because of the amount of running in the CFL. Kudos to him for coming off a big win, but still pointing out an area in which he could improve.

He's a rookie... an American rookie that still has to fully adjust to the Canadian game. He definitely has the tools, now he just has to learn all the ins and outs.

I hope he stays an Esk and believe he will.

And he will probably remain a starter despite his mistakes. He is a work in progress and as he progresses the mistakes will become fewer. As for mistakes, what are you going to do -- cut Ricky Ray next time he throws a pick?

Since we've pretty much proved to a high degree that the OP is all on his own here. I think this thread needs to be mercifully put out of its misery.
