    Now that we're in

So now that we are in both the Esks and Stamps can play as loose as they want. When all the pressure is on one team its tough to play good ball. With the pressure being even, so to speak, all of you who were hoping for the Cats to win so that the Esks had to prove themselves under pressure......Well they still have pressure if they want to finish 3rd in the west because I don't see the riders beating BC. If the Cats won I was hoping to see KJ start for 5 minutes and then MN come in to win it. Now, I think that the game gets split 50-50 because we now have the luxury of resting players to a smaller extent. I think we win this game regardless of the Cats loss tonight. But now I think we win bigger and we get to not kill ourselves doing it. Not to mention, I don't see Calgary having the same intensity without the possibility of putting us out of the playoffs. I was a little miffed that Toronto was playing their 4th stringer. Its kind of funny that a 4th stringer ended Burris' season (as did Swayze Waters with a great kick). The crossover is definitely the easier path to the cup. Now its almost up to us to take the path we want. So either the riders or Esks go east to play the Argos. Hmm, maybe giving all those starters the week off will come back to haunt!!!

    Re: Now that we're in

If you think the Stamps won't jump at the chance to hang a beating on us in our house regardless of the playoff picture you better think again! With Reed steadfast in supporting KJ (and playing him most likely 2/3 of the game regardless of how pathetic he is) we are going NOWHERE on offense tomorrow night. Our defense WILL NOT have the legs/intensity to deal with both Tate and Glenn who will both be looking to impress for the post season and next year. We lack a sound OC gameplan nor the offensive minded emotion to "smack those *******s in the mouth" all game long...... plain and simple!

The Esks of old would've spit nails and fought like hell to punch the Stamps in the mouth EVERY OPPORTUNITY THEY COULD.... the team you see tomorrow night will be listless, disjointed, and simply "getting through the game".

Doubt that do you...... look at how we have played for the majority of the last three games....... the tape/facts don't lie.

No West team has ever come out of the East.I remenber the Riders outplaying someone from the east, and the zebras made sure they didnt win.A holding call here, interference there.Could you imagine 2 teams from the west playing in the 100 GreyCup in TO. It wont happen, best we get 3rd place in the East.

Both teams will take it easy tomorrow... but you might see Glenn and Tate trying to "out-do" each other to earn Hufnagel's love. I'd prefer to go East for the playoffs as we haven't had success vs. Cal this year (Cornish would eat us up in a cold and slippery McMahon semi-final) while we have proven to match up against the Argos quite well. Personally, I'd like to see guys like Stamps, Koch, TJ Hill, Sherritt only in for a few series. No need risking injury with them in a meaningless game.

The odds are, Calgary is going to lose a QB tomorrow to injury. Its just how things work when a guy who has been previously hurt comes back from injury. Either he or his replacement get hurt again. The Stamps know they had horseshoes up their collective buts in the previous two wins so I dont see them being all " we're gonna kick your a$$es again Edmonton". They want to get out of Dodge without getting beat up. I guess we'll see who's theory is correct tomorrow. I think we see the opposite of what you are stating. I think we see KJ and MN trying to out-deul each other. Not Tate and Glenn. Thats my rose colored glasses outlook and I'm sticking with it ;-) Either way I'm glad tomorrow isn't do or die.

yah....the year the Esks played the Als in the east final, Montreal didn't get one frigging penalty the whole game. Never seen that before. This is indeed a concern. All conspiracy theories aside, I do expect to see extremely unfair reffing against whoever crosses over.

U wanna stay west if you can, but the path east, minus the time zone seems easier, both tor and Montreal are not as strong as bc cal

I don't care if the Esks win tomorrow or not as long as they can prevent this. Prevent this and it will go a long way to getting some of my fan enjoyment back. It's like in 2010 when the Riders came in with 10+ thousand fans thinking they would humiliate us in our own house and we punked them. At the end of the game i was by the walkway before you hit gate 13 and there was a crowd of 20-30 drunk college guys hurling abuse and insults at the departing Rider crowd. Good times.

I don't care if Tate or Glenn light up the Esks for 600 yards crowd the damn box with extra bodies and play the run. Cornish just needs 50 yards to break the record so it's going to be tough, but i would do it. Who cares about winning the game just prevent that **** from breaking Normie's record. As a fan that's all i care about in this game.
