I doubt their search was overly exhaustive, but I like the hire. Right now IMO Hervey is the best fit to get this team back on track.

^This and I think that KR HCing would also the best move...hopefully EH retains him...also hope that Paul Jones stays within the organization...and that we even hire on a couple of more bird dogs.

Doesn't strike me as they as much as broke a sweat... I guess you need someone in place soon with free agency starting in February and the holidays taking a big bite of the time in between. If they would have just done it right and took their sweet time replacing Maciocia and made a good hire rather than rushing out and hiring the only guy available we could have avoided all this.

For the first time in a long time I have confidence that the Captain of the ship has a steady hand on the wheel. He has some rough seas to navigate but I think everyone inside the igloo is ready and willing to rally around the flag. Today is a good day for this franchise who has seen it's share of awful and dark days of late

Finally someone that is going to restore the class and pride to this team instead of a bunch of keystone cops running around into each other singing 47 kickers and quarterbacks that curl up in the fetal position and watch Matlock. In Ed we trust.

They got it right. Ed's ready. He's been through all this **** from the last period of Eskimo strength to what it has become. Been through all of it either as a player, or staff. He's ready. Between this and Chris Morris' U of A announcement, Green and Gold are pretty much the new Christmas colors. I'm excited for these guys, and more importantly very excited for the wave of change that comes from these two hirings in particular. Northern Alberta will once again be a hub, and focal point for football in this country. For all the right reasons.
