TC / Day 2
With special thanks to Wildwest for sharing his observations from the morning session. Here goes.
Chris Brewer K. B-R-U-T-A-L. Saw him make 2 out of 12 with the misses McCalluming left. His Piece de' resistance' was shanking a punt right into the middle of the offensive huddle during controlled scrimmage at the end of the session. Wad almost went to his knees from laughing, and I bet is still chuckling as we speak. See ya kid.
Posteraro P aka twinkle toes, aka the green lantern, aka etc... got the hint and was wearing b/w cleats today. That being said the kid was punting fairly well with nice tight spirals. Remains to be seen how well he coffin kicks. He did not take any placekicking reps and I believe he hasn't yet at camp.
Annunziata C Was once again beaten like a red headed stepchild on many drills. I did not get to see any one on ones but in the controlled O vs D line reps, he underwhelmed.
Kabongo T According to Wildwest went from looking good one minute to looking bad the next. Still a work in progress but there's no denying this guy's a house.
Carson G didn't see him until right at the end and he was w/o pads. Word is he has a touch of the flu so he's being kept at arms length.
Cedric Scott, Charles Alston, Ja'Warren Blair DT All cut from the same cloth. None really posses any amazing hand checks or inside moves, but rather they use their size and bullrush. Remains to be seen if they can be effective.
Antico Dalton, Clinton Wayne, Demoine Adams all had solid performances. Adams accidentaly sent Kahari Jones to the turf drawing the slight ire of Coach Cioch.
Donny Brady seemed to struggle a little bit, definitely not to his normal standards.
Brad Franklin DB had an impressive workout at the half spot.
Tim Fleiszer - According to WW showed a disappointing slow first step in the punt block drills.
Julio Zardo, stepped up the intensity dial about 3 notches today. He definitely is very quick for a guy his size.
Davis Sanchez, made a beauty tipped, diving INT during controlled scrimmage
McGrath and McLane both had decent workouts.
Beaton looked like he never left
Joe Montford that Dline is officially his. He's the captain of that ship and sets the tone for all the guys. That whole group has a completely different attitude about them compared to last year at this time.
Bretrand and White were the backs who lined up with the first down group on offence today. Didn't have a close look at the RB's today so not much to tell.
Ricky Ray was....well, Ricky Ray
Kahari Jones and Jason Johnson both had problems at times making the right reads, throwing a few times into poor coverage.
Maas worked with the Oline and kickers
Keyou Craver DB nothing overly spectacular today but something tells me to keep an eye on him as camp progresses. He seems to have a knack for the ball that you can't teach. Made a nice INT in scrimmage.
Bobst and Larose held their own today.
Cloman was ok, Gaylor was a lot better at WR today.
Mookie was looking awesome.
Robinson apparently turned an ankle according to WW.
