Cavil's Dance - What do you guys think

When Cavil caught that 5 yard TD yesterday, he did in my opinion a hilarious TD celebration with Gaylor. It's been ages since I've seen someone do a TD celebration in Edmonton because the past few years we've had a pretty experienced receiving core who didn't showboat too much. But seeing Cavil and Gaylor do the celebration was humorous and I enjoyed it after not seeing Edmonotn do one for a few years. I did not approve however when Cavil showboated after fumbling the ball. That was just stupid

IMO if the newcomers like Cavil and Gaylor do TD celebrations, I don't really mind. But if guys that are costantly in the endzone like Tucker, Mookie and Hervey do it, I might have a problem with it.

So since we'el probably be seeing Cavil doing a lot of more TD celebrations, what do you guys rate this first one in Edmonton from a score of 1 to 10??

I don't mind a little showboating after a TD, but it's not like he made a diving catch in behind coverage in the endzone either. I did miss the showboating after the fumble, but from what I hear he made himself look like an a**.

I have no bog problem with celebrating a td as long as you don't get a taunting penalty. I do have a problem with celebrating catching a 5 yard out or low and behold making a first down.

Traditionally, I have liked the "act like you've been there before" attitude in the endzone.

But seeing it live, it is just what the doctor ordered. They needed to have some fun out there and the dance shook some of the pressure off.

Its somewhat suprising as I THINK Mooch does not like the celebrations and likely does not tolerate it, but I THINK HE WAS RIPPING IT UP WITH Cavil based on the reaction that I saw and I guess once in awhile its not so bad when things are going good

Honestly, I think it was more of a 1 time F-U to Montreal from Cavil. And good on him. Anytime you can deliver an F-bomb to Montreal its worth it.

On that note, don't expect it to become common practice with the Eskies.
That being said, it was interesting to see Kabongo gettin Jiggy with it last night; granted he almost gave LaBlanc a concusion as a result.....and for those sitting behind the Eskies bench, Cavil, Gaylor and Tompkins where cutting a rug on the sidelines with about 2 minutes left.

They were having fun out there, which is fine. I'd rather they do it on the bench though, and I don't want TD dances to become common practice either.

I have no problem with the spur of the moment stuff, it's the scripted and rehearsed celebrations that I think are lame.

I agree. Vaughn was giving as good as he was getting, but Brady was the one who took the penalty. No excuse, however, as Brady should know better. he has a rep as one who can be goaded into stupid penalties and the Alos kept trying last night to get under his skin. the coach should have pulled him and lectured him. Make him sit a few plays. Might teach him.
