Hi guys, I'm putting this in the Esks forum b/c it involves Ed Hervey but to the moderators please feel free to move it.
Earlier this week Ed Hervey said he would be playing with a brace. Now I am no football player, I love playing with my buddies but all of my football injuries consist of a fractured finger here and there. But I figure there are a lot of players former and present on this site as well as those who played junior, highschool, university ball, etc. that can answer my questions.
So my questions are: Just how much mobility will Hervey lose by having to wear a brace?
How protective are they? Will he be able to take direct hits? I figure it'll probably give him some pain but will it protect him for the most part?
I like many of you on these boards am very excited to have Ed back so I just hope that he feels comfortable out there and burns the Ti-Cats young secondary every chance he gets

. The same thing should go for Hervey (although his was an MCL) in that he should not be able to injure it again just running and getting tackled. If he were to get hit again like Belli hit him, that brace will not protect him
