I heard that in todays Edm Sun? that Ricky Ray himself said he didnt think he got the ball across before he was down. ?

k, it may have been close, and Rider fans and Esks fans see the replay different ways obviously...but no way his knee wasnt already on the turf by the time his arse was on the ground...I mean, cmon.

Even if he didnt get in, the Riders start at there own 1. Whos to say what happens from there. Sacked for a safety, picked off for a TD return, fumble return or the inevitable, the Riders get a TD. But it didnt happen so tough.

At approx 4.5 secs into this clip if you go frame by frame you see RR's leg directly beneath Joe McGrath's legs and there is clear daylight beneath his knee and the turf. Now keep the frame still and look at the heel of Shultz's left foot, as the stripe of the ball is visible and it has broken the plane of the goal line. Schultz's right foot is on the goal line and the ball is even with his right foot.

If someone knows how to capture a still image from windows media player, I can grab that frame and paste it.

How to take screen shots in windows xp with windows media player:

Step 1: First you need to disable hardware acceleration: right click on desktop-->goto: "properties"-->goto: "settings" tab-->goto:"advanced" button-->goto: "troubleshoot" tab-->set "hardware acceleration" to none-->then ok, ok... (don't forget to turn it back ON (full) after you're done)

Step 2: Taking the screenshot - load the movie into media player-->play it until theres the scene you want to capture-->hold "SHIFT" + "PRINT SCRN"-->open ms paint-->click on "edit" then "paste"-->click on the select button (the dotted rectangle beside the dotted star)-->now with a cross-hair cursor, click & drag what you want to make into the screenshot-->click "edit" then "copy to"-->save as a 24bit bmp and give it a temporary name (ie temp.bmp)-->then open the temp.bmp, goto file & save as, save as jpg or png with the name you want = congrats you should now have a proper screen shot. (depending on your experience this may take a bit to master)
Pros: No extra software needed, option to save as png, good image quality
Con: alot of silly little things to remember

How to take screen shots with media player classic:

Step 1: Open your movie in media player classic-->seek to the image you want-->(optional: pause)-->goto "file" menu and click "save image" = that's it....this gives you a jpg/bmp
Pros: fast & easy
Con: need to download media player classic, can only save as jpg

Those of you argueing his knee was down are really missing the forest for the trees.

For arguements sake, lets say his knee did go down early and he got he got his footing back....no Rider had touched him up to or at that point, thus he is still free to get up and carry on... as he obviously wasn't intentionally taking a knee. The first guy to touch him was #26 and thats what caused him to eventually go down for good.

Whether the knee even touched the ground is completely moot.

But for what its worth I have another angle that clearly shows that it didn't even touch down... there is even a brief pause at the moment of truth that one can clearly see it doesn't touch down.

Again though, since he wasn't contacted upto or at that point though makes it immaterial.... he could have got on all fours, do a summersault, eat some turf... and unless he's touched he's still free to run it in. Although, to get all that in I'd imagine you'd have to let the referee's in on it beforehand

It was close, but all you need is one dimple of the ball to get TO the goal line, not over it. It was a TD.
