This guy has been absolutely invisible the last 8 games. Not only is he not doing anything offensively, he's playing horrendous defensive hockey. The guy can not get the puck out of his own zone to save his life and he has major difficulties not turning the puck over on the PP.

Really bad hockey being played by Horcoff right now, the contract looks really bad. He needs to step it up and soon or it's going to be tough sledding for the Oilers. Maybe a press-boxing will clear his head out and let him get back to making simple plays.

But then again, look at Cole's numbers. Same with Cogs, Nilsson and Gagner. Truly awful.

Just watch Horcoff defensively, that's all that needs to be said. The guy is absolutely horrid so far this season. At least Gagner isn't consistently a huge liability out there, same goes for everyone else you mentioned.

Where is the leader of the Horc fan club PDO? I want to know what the hell is up with Horc. When he had his surgery to fix his shoulder, did the doc remove some of his stones? I can accept Cogs and Gagner and even Nilson because of the usual let down after a rookie year. I can give Cole a little slack because he has had to up root his life coming here so it takes time to adjust but Horcoff? He has no f-ing excuse. The organization stepped up to the plate, gave him a fat contract and the recognition he supposedly deserved and he is playing like a BUM!! So whats up?

So many Oilers are under-performing. It's amazing that they're anywhere around .500. Of their so-called ffensive forwards, only Hemsky has shown up to play. Moreau's numbers are excellent considering the kind of player he is. Cole, Penner, Horcoff, Gagner, Nilsson and Cogliano are all in the pooper.

Agreed, I do hold my breath each game that he doesn't get hurt but he's played well.

Three weeks ago we had a discussion on Horcoff's play (I thought it sucked then) and now it appears that Calgary Flames thong you are wearing is affecting your logic.

The numbers speak for themselves. Hemsky's play since being paired with Gagner galvanizes the argument.

I think the only place Horcoff is contributing right now is in the face-off circle and his numbers aren't stellar there either.

Add to that his new contract which makes him almost impossible to move sometime down the road should his play not improve ......

Agreed on all. So when did Moreau suddenly turn into a scorer? Whatever it is, I like it. Happy with the top 4 guys on that list. Horc ain't doing great, G&G are getting shelled on defence it seems...most of Cole's PIM are from that stupid non-tie-down in Vancouver. The kids need to pick it up. One thing I am happy with is Penner's +/-...he may not be scoring enough, but it seems that he's contributing well at both ends.

I don't think Horc has been terrible but you sure see what happens when Hemsky is no longer your winger. Still has the stupid offensive zone turn overs but there are a bunch of Oilers guilty of that right now. Hemsky was the only Oiler forward going last night and you see what happens when our goalie doesn't stand on his head.

Coming off shoulder injury combined with minimal puck luck will do that to you. He looks rusty with the puck. The underlying numbers are beyond solid.... he'll turn it around. I'll throw them all up at the 20 game point.
