I don't have a problem with it. Schremp has to be on the top 2 lines and there isn't anyone he would take the place of. He is not a checker, he is not an energy guy, he is not a physical guy, he is not going to kill penalties so where do you put him?
Blindly accept whatever they do and if it doesn't work out, I guess there's always next year.

Send Gagner to the WJHC for a few weeks. He can get his confidence back playing against kids, while RS gets an extended look.....
Before you insult a man, walk a mile in his shoes. That way, when you insult him, you'll be a mile away, and have his shoes.

I don't see how him playing against kids that he is way better than because he has 1.5 yrs of NHL under his belt helps his development or his confidence. If anything, IMO, it could damage his confidence if he were to go there and not rip it up as he should.

Wouldn't happen......the 1.5 yrs in the NHL would translate, he would rip it up.
It'd also give him a chance to free wheel a little more. Trust me....it would do him a world of good for a few weeks.
While he's going to come around any way...it would be a huge breather for him, instead of continuing to grip his stick too tight like he is right now.
Chances of him damaging his confidence playing in the tourney are about zero. Not that it matters now anyway, as the Oilers have already made their choice.

sorry I have a hard time listening to Opus in this thread... afterall what experience does the Maple leafs have with coaching young players. We all know Toronto's idea of a young player is one at a ripe young age of 32

uh-huh......I know it's hard for you to believe, but once upon a time the Leafs were a revolving door of young kids. For years and years they came and went, as Ballard sold off young assets for nothing as he knew the Leafs would draw regardless.
Once Ballard died, those running the show still sold young talent, but now they did it in favour of older established vets. Didn't prove enough to get even a cup berth, but at least they came close on a couple occasions, and made the playoffs on a regular basis since...
Now they're young again........might even be the youngest lineup in the league this year......
besides......this wasn't about the Leafs anyway.....

Not sure how.......seems only relevant to the Oilers what I posted.
Unless of course what you're saying is that because I am a Leafs fan, my opinion means jack, and all hockey knowledge I have is completely meaningless.
Is that what you're saying?
I have a feeling you are......
Of course I am sure you're joking tongue in cheek and all......right?

Yup. If he had been sent to the Juniors, Gagner would dominate like Diesel would if he were to take part in a playground brawl at the neighbourhood junior high school.
