    Oilers/Sens

Unfortunately I won't see the game tonight, but are the two new guys going to be in the lineup? Anyone know?

Oh happy FING day. Looks like Mac T "tweaked" the lines they had up earlier today and Pouliot is on the right side on the SECOND LINE.

I don't F-ing get it. Does he have incriminating pictures of Mac T. How many games of Pouliot doing nothing does it take before Mac T benches this guy for the rest of the season. Ship him down to the minors. Sure he would have to go on waivers but who the hell would take a soft as butter player that brings no intensity, no physicality, no offense, doesn't kill penalities, doesn't do anything.
If some team was stupid enough to pick up Pouliot, I honestly doubt the organization would miss him.

I thought DM was frustrating, Mac T has him beat hands down. Is it wrong to kind of hope a player gets injured? I don't wish serious harm on any human being but if he tore a knee ligament, it would FORCE Mac T to have to play someone in his spot that might actually do something.

Blindly accept whatever they do and if it doesn't work out, I guess there's always next year.

So, who was brought down? Pisani? Penner? Stortini? I'm guessing Pisani went down to the 3rd and Stortini to the 4th. I have no problem with that allocation, but I'd rather have Penner on the RW on the 2nd and Pouliot on the left for the 3rd.

Once again Mac T's lines mystify me. Doesn't it make sense to put Penner and Gagner together? How the hell is Penner going to keep up with Cogliano? He couldn't keep up with Hemsky and Cogliano is faster than Hemsky. If they put Penner with Gagner, you add size to that line with O'Sullivan. Gagner is a better player inside the bluelines and so is Penner, Penner isn't a rush guy. So Penner parks his fat ass infront of the net, Gagner dishes to O'sullivan and O'Sullivan lasers some shots in the top corner while the goalie is screened.

I really don't understand the hate for 78. He has decent hands, reads the game fantastically well, and is money positionally.

The lines are more of a 2A/2B anything, with 27-89-34 being in the mix as well. Having those 3 together is fantastic imo.

He doesn't do anything, thats why the hate. He is not a physical player, he isn't a shut down guy, he doesn't bring energy to the line up, he is an ok skater but not great so what is left for him to do, bring offence. You are right, he has some offensive ability but he hasn't shown a whole lot of it so far in the years he has been an Oiler and he sure hasn't shown enough of it to put him on the second line.

Nilson is a lazy ass SOB but he has TONS of skill, he has the ability to beat guys 1-1 and make plays. If you put Nilson vs Pouliot 1-1, I have a hard time believing that Pouliot would EVER beat Nilson.

Kotalik is playing well. That first line has had a few good shifts but the team needs to pick it up.

Agreed. Kotalik looks really good, actually.

i've watched about 10mins of the game and IMO it looks like the Oilers are playing extremely ****ty.

Massive give aways, gettting dominated by Sens top line, Horc with a beauty give away infront of his own net - not to mention the numerous other give aways from many many Oilers.

They seem tired, flat and like they are sleepwalking thru the game

( all based on the 10mins or so I managed to watch )
