    Re: Oilers vs. Atlanta GDT

I got back and home and turned the TV...Bogosian scores. I'm still watching the game though. If we lose you can blame it on me.

              That was an unbelievable giveaway.

And yes, I did see it. Saw ten minutes of the game...four Thrasher goals, no Oiler goals.
Out of my mind; back in five minutes.

Once again, the offensive abilities of Marty Reasoner haunt the Edmonton Oilers.

That OT goal is all on Cogliano. What the hell he was doing pissing around with the puck like that in the offensive zone is beyond me. A terribly stupid play by a smart player.

And I love Pisani. He's a hell of a gutsy player, he's smart with the puck and he's great defensively. By why the hell is he on in OT when Nilsson (who I don't much care for) is on the bench. Nilsson had a great game, he was skating well, he was playing tough and he was strong on the puck. And he's got more creativity in his left hand than Pisani will ever have. In a game you need to win, I'd have had Nilsson on the ice with Gagner or O'Sullivan.

Cogs would be better off trying figure skating, can do some nice turns, good speed and not much else.

I think I'm going to avoid watching the Oilers the rest of this season...the elevated blood pressure from the anger ain't worth it...

Bad turnover by Cogs, yeah...but that goal is on Gilbert. He thought he was playing baseball and Reasoner was the catcher.

True enough but if the Edmonton Oilers weren't a very average hockey team there would be no overtime because they would have put it away in regulation.

Another very disappointing and uninspired performance.

One night Reasoner kills us, one night Torres kills us. Even very average hockey players look like stars when you play the Edmonton Oilers on home ice.
And Kevin Lowe does nothing........................... I wonder if he's even been down to the dressing room this season?

We were wondering about that ourselves.

Penner played just over 5 minutes. Was he benched after that fight, or did I miss something?
I was curious why he was benched, for doing something that I actually thought was a good thing..... Then Pisani took multiple penalties, leading to Atlanta putting it in the back of the net, yet Pisani seemed to get a lot of playing time.
Now, I thought that cross-checking call on Pisani was pretty weak, so I'm not really hating on Pisani. I just flat out don't understand the logic.
