I'm still bitter. Tonight I was going to write a commentary for the Gateway on how all three teams playing out of Rexall are blowing chunks right now...and the O-Kings and Oilers both have to go and win. Now I have to figure something else out. Crap.

To be serious, though - we still look absolutely horrible playing 4-on-4 in OT. I don't know why, I don't know how, but we give the puck away (Hemsky), let guys go through THE WHOLE TEAM UNCONTESTED (Backes), and generally don't mount much of an attack. If not for the great samurai of the mighty Oil typhoon, we lose again. Which is only going to work for so long.

When will Moreau ever learn? You take a cross-checking penalty in the offensive zone with both referees looking on with less than 5 minutes in the game? Brutal. How can you preach to the younger guys about discipline when you consistently do stuff like this?

Anyway, we saw the best and worst of Grebeshkov tonight. A great long bomb to Hemsky and a great save by Mason but in overtime a guy just blows past Grebeshkov like he's standing still. Rolli to the rescue, naturally. Hopefully Rolli can last for another 15 games but its scary every time he goes down. Say I'm still wondering, why did we trade Garon? Has that AHLer Stone done anything to justify the trade

I know...but I can't say they're losing right now, either. The crux of the story would've been the O-Kings missing the playoffs due to three blown games in a row, with the Oilers on a losing streak and the Rush being flat-out lousy. But now the O-Kings are in the playoffs and the Oilers actually won one, so it kinda takes the edge off of it.

One game does not a season make...but it can sure as hell ruin a newspaper rant-article.

Supposedly the three goalie system made each of them play worse...and when you look at it, Roli has really stepped up and taken control of this team since the trade. He's the type of the goalie you have play on most nights for him to play his best, he's not a part-timer. So on that note, it was good for us. Beyond next season though, we're kinda screwed.

8/8 points against the Blues could very well be the reason for a second season berth.... last year it was 0/8 against the Preds that burned us.

4 out of a possible 6 points on this home stand. I pray those two OT losses don't bite us in the ass. The thing that worries me is our inability to put teams away at home as we have a huge six-game home stand to end the year.
