    Taylor Hall to Wear #4

    Very surprised.

For as much venom as I've lashed out at Kevin Lowe with for pretty much everything since June 28, 2006... he still was:

    #1) Our first draft pick.
#2) The guy who scored our first goal.
    #3) A MAJOR part of 5 cups.
    #4) A 6 time All-Star
    #5) A Captain

Figured it was all but a given that his name would go up to the rafters with his buddies... and it would have been 100% deserved as well.
"This year, we did what we were supposed to do. We fought as a team. We fought as a team. And the fact is, we gotta go back and go to work, to make sure we finish this next time. That's all we gotta do. This right here makes us stronger. Let's understand who we are as a team. Let's understand this right here makes us stronger." - Ray Lewis, January, 2012.

    A classy move by KSLowe.
Maciocia, Hall, Strasser, Hairston and Thorpe are finally all gone. The rest will take care of itself.

Good luck Kavis Reed and the rest of the Esks' new coaching staff!

I laugh at all the sheep who bought #10 hall jerseys

        ... people actually did?

I mean, I know there's a lot of disdain for the guy wearing #10 right now, but given he has a NMC I'm not sure where they thought he was going....

Or for that matter, why Hall would want #10? He only had it because of the draft year...

Good for Klowe. He has made a few mistakes but he is still a class guy. When Klowe goes to the rafters, Hall will have to give it up but he can use it for now.

With the Esks being garbage, I am definitely looking forward to hockey starting.
Blindly accept whatever they do and if it doesn't work out, I guess there's always next year.

The Oil had #10 Hall jerseys out for sale since the draft. Even saw them for sale at the Caps ball games

The Oilers will lose a lot this year, but unlike the Eskimos:

              (1) There is hope going forward
              (2) This team will hopefully learn from losing, instead of repeating the same mistakes ad nauseum and expecting a different outcome
              (3) We don't have to worry about losing to Saskatchewan
              (4) We won't allow 50-points in back-to-back games against Calgary

#10 refers to the draft year...so...I'm okay with it.

I'd be willing to trade Hall if we could get a couple of starting NI linemen for him.

I think that it is good that the Oilers are letting Hall wear number 4. I do think that KLowe will be in the HOF and then his number will go up in the rafters. Then there will be a transfer of jersey, like Bourque when they retired #7 in Boston for Esposito in Boston

They should do something for Sather... maybe hang a giant stogie from the rafters!

Knowing Slats, he'd probably just rather they ship it to him so he can try to smoke it
Look. We can go round and round about this all the live long day. Let's keep it simple. I embody amazement. Can you dig on that? Good. Then meet me on the corner of rock and roll, and bring a flask of something that burns.
