    Oilers lose Reddox to SEL

    As per tsn.ca
    http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=366747

Not a huge loss at all. Didn`t see him fitting into the lineup anywhere in the near future.

    However, good luck Liam.

Players of Liam's calibre are a dime a dozen......good energy guy...no scoring ability thought.
We definately have guys within the organization that can take his place........and do it more effictively.

Liam was one of the better PKers on the team, and given the black ****ing hole the PK has been, I sure as hell hope they actually bring in a few guys who can kill them off...

One of the weakest spots on the team just got weaker. It's fine if they address it, but if they don't...

        Exactly my thoughts, too.

All these "dime-a-dozen" guys that we get rid of...that for some reason we never replace adequately.

Re: Oilers lose Reddox to SEL

He was one of the best PKers on a team that was ranked 29th this past season. Maybe I am just different or more likely have the ability to actually look at some players logically but I don't get too worked up about losing a player who's only value to the team is his supposed "PK abilities" but is leading the charge on the leagues second worst PK unit. I know there are Oiler fans out there that have hard ons for players that try hard but accomplish very little but now LIAM REDDOX?? The guy is a career AHLer that on a bad team like the Oilers gets into the line up and you are concerned?

Maybe I am wrong but do you think he signed over in Sweden because his agent told him there is ZERO NHL interest? DING DING DING, Q I think you are right!! Do you honestly think that if there was actual NHL interest that he would sign before July 1st. Not a freaking chance. Do some of you guys like paying a lot of money to watch bad hockey players in Oilers uniforms. The day is coming fast approaching when the Oilers don't have to dress the Reddox's and Poultny's just to fill out a roster. I don't know about you but I am excited about that.
Blindly accept whatever they do and if it doesn't work out, I guess there's always next year.

If the Oilers are to be successful, they need better players at those positions than Liam Reddox.

Exactly. I think the Oilers top 6 can compete with most teams, its the bottom 6 players they get destroyed on.

I'm not saying Reddox was the answer to anything; but when you're terrible at something... you don't get better at it by getting rid one of the few players who can actually do it.

Hey, the PK was terrible with him... that doesn't mean it just didn't get even WORSE.

Re: Oilers lose Reddox to SEL

Reddox does not make any other NHL teams roster. Why on earth would you even suggest he should continue to be on the Oilers? Do you want them to be crappy forever? He's not good enough!! That should be the end of it.

1 dimensional players are no good to anyone. He has to do more than PK, and he couldn't.

Yep reddox would of been good depth in okc incase of injury but he has no buisness as a regular nhler.
