Edmonton earned its reputation for having the classiest fans in hockey, and perhaps all of sports, when it refused to let a few dozen idiots in San Jose goad it into booing the anthem of our longtime friend and neighbour, the United States.

On that day, Game 6 of the Oilers/Sharks series, we showed that we were just flat-out "better than that".

MY vote is that we defend that reputation, by ignoring this lone idiot in Anaheim and his myopic illogic. From this point on, I'm in agreeance with several of the other posters: "Chris WHO? Does he play for the Oilers? No? Then why are we talking about him?"

How about every time Pronger touches the puck, the crowd let's out a loud and enthusiastic cheer! It's like waving at a guy in a car that just gave you the middle finger...

I LIKE it! It's basically the same idea as cheering the hell out of the Star-Spangled Banner after they booed O Canada the game before... "Hey, buddy... feel like an idiot yet?"

I didn't draw that one, but I just bought a ticket for that game online from ticketmaster. All they had was gallery, and I'm shocked at that. But I'll be in the building.
