Why do they have a super hero in their logo?

If you lived in Edmonton you'd know thats The Dark Katz... our very own billionaire recluse's secret iden....

I think I've said too much... quick, someone flick on the Rexall signal
Look. We can go round and round about this all the live long day. Let's keep it simple. I embody amazement. Can you dig on that? Good. Then meet me on the corner of rock and roll, and bring a flask of something that burns.

The jerseys look pretty nice, not sure about that shoulder patch tho, lol
I will not, for a moment longer, support an organization who chooses to cowardly kneel where they once fiercely & proudly stood

Not bad. A lot more professional than "Cracker Cats"
Out of my mind; back in five minutes.

The only thing about ' cracker cats' I'll miss was the Chris Rock line that ran through my head every time I heard that name

I'm glad that I wasn't the only one with that problem

I don't mind the team name, the uniforms look good...but I'm just not getting the superhero logo thing. What the heck does that have to do with the club name or the city?
I see them falling into the same trap the Cracker-Cats did with directing their marketing to kids. Yeah, they want lots of families and kids at the park, but who buys the tickets? Are there a lot of moms and dads who are going to be persuaded to go to games because of a 'cool' logo or team mascot? I don't know, it just seems to project a juvenile image for baseball in this city.

Katz is a secret fan of Space Ghost?

There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. A high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.

I'm okay with the name and uniforms too. The out-of-place superhero in the logo brings to mind the WHL's Kelowna Rockets. For reasons that nobody seems to be able to explain, their logo features Ogopogo holding a hockey stick with no rockets anywhere on the jersey.

Not surprising considering the way the same organization has marketed the Oil Kings.
