Yeah I’m not cutting him now by any means, he’s good depth and he IS still young. I think he gets one more chance at some point but he’s gotta show that he’s improved during his time off the active roster....

I like his frame and skillset as well and that’s why I’m not upset that we used a high draft pick on him. Unfortunately three years in I just haven’t seen enough of the other stuff besides frame and skillset to win me over....

He strikes me as a guy who has all of the physical tools but seems a bit soft. Granted I haven’t watched him on every play but he doesn’t standout as a guy who’s running hard routes away from the play or getting his nose dirty and involving...

Pretty sure I noticed him on sidelines in civies the other night at the game so he’s still with the team as far as I know....

Meh, he was essentially a bonus 1st round pick for us in 2024 that turned out to be bust, happens every year. Easy to say in hindsight they should have saved the pick but at the time we needed young Canadians and he was a first round caliber prospect....

The good thing about KJG is that when he has a bad game dropping the ball he usually responds with a good game afterwards. The lack of consistency in his game is extremely frustrating tho for sure.
Looking forward to see what Kattyle can...

To go 7-3 in a stretch of 10 straight weeks with a bunch of short weeks, travels, and playing teams coming off of byes, is no small feat. Pretty impressed with what this team has done so far this year, excited to see where it goes.

Yup, good teams find a way to win even on the nights when things aren’t going their way.
The Bombers did it for years and I think we’re seeing the beginning of an Elks team that can do the same....

Very well could mind games.
Looks like we’re bringing the same roster as last week, not seeing any changes on the depth chart....

Keys to the game:
Dline has to continue what they started on Saturday and make life miserable for Collaros. Give him time and he’ll burn you but smack him around a bit and who knows, he may not even make it through the game.

Bombers @ Elks August 21st
This is a game Edmonton *SHOULD* win… The EE are the better team and they’re playing at home. That said the Bombers are still a veteran laden team who knows how to squeak out close wins, plus it’s always difficult to beat the same opponent...

Yeah I thought O’Donnell had one of his tougher games as an Elk as he was beat clean on the Fajardo sack as well. I think it’s pretty clear that he’s battling with that knee injury at the moment....

Agree with this assessment. I was a little annoyed in the first half that they weren’t pulling away with it despite being the better team and I think the team felt the same way because they came out in the second half with a bit of an “enough...Last edited by ben_the_eskimo; 08-17-2026, 12:04 PM.

Also, looks like Reid draws in at boundary HB with Kordell sliding down to SAM in place of the injured Kenny Logan....

Argos @ Elks August 15th
I get Marks thought process behind the 3rd and 1 FG last week, but I really thought that let the air out of the team and maybe showed that they were scared of the AL’s.
Hopfully they regain their confidence and get back in the win...
