Nanook is returning to aviation!

I never thought I would do it; I started a new career in medical research with a well established company. I worked with university research facilities in Alberta and BC. I have a company vehicle; my consulting work charge was $360/hour (which is not what I was paid!) for travel time and labour. I made good money but to be honest I hated the corporate world, I felt like I was robbing people.

I accepted a position with Stars last week. Aviation has always been in my blood and it has never left. After nearly a quarter century in the Airforce how could it ever leave?

Less money but still good money. The big difference is I will be happy and satisfied serving the public again.

I can no longer comment on CCA. Nice new facility at EIA through, and the new helo arrived recently too. It is still going through it's certifications.

So are you going to be flying or administration or what's the deal? Someone once told me that if you do a job that you love, you'll never work again...or something to that effect. It's true, but there's the harsh reality that not everyone can get away with doing their dream job...

Congrats Nook! Job satisfaction is much more important than a big paycheque. I know this from personal experience
