It's brutal. It's part of the reason I wanna move to Alberta, cuz even with higher housing prices, I know I could double my salary by moving there.
There'll be plenty of room here for ya once all those Rider fans move back to SK....

Which is why I had it in a P.S.

This thread now needs to be renamed:

Economic differences and migratory patterns between Alberta and Saskatchewan.

Just keep the salaries high and it won't be a problem. I've already been contacted by 2 companies in Alberta, althought sadly, they are both in Calgary!!! Oh well, get's a little closer to all those Eskimo home games.

Interesting that it was the Riders who moaned and bitched for a salary cap, and since a cap was put in place for them, they only years they've won they broke the salary cap rules.

P.S. the Saskatchewan Roughriders are an older club than Ottawa was and have never folded. The name has and always will belong to us.

Ottawa Rough Riders - founded 1876 (Ottawa Football Club from 1876-1897 / Ottawa Senators 1925-1926)
Saskatchewan Roughriders - founded 1910 (not named "Roughriders" until 1924, which was the Regina Roughriders - previously Regina Rugby Club)

*So....Ottawa had the name over a quarter century before you guys copied it and smooshed the spelling together......hell, you even stole the same colours as them until you changed to green & white in 1948.

Even with Ottawa folding twice & changing their name twice they've still had the Rough Rider name longer.....

I don't exactly plan on moving back to Alberta either...

My apologies, after researching this for myself, I see I was erroneous in my belief. Someone must have slipped some of that green koolaid into my water supply. Wowzers, after reading the full history of both clubs, i'm not sure why the Wheaties thinks it belongs to them? Probably the same reason I did.....propeganda

To be fair, they didn't steal the colours.

The story of how the Saskatchewan Roughriders got their colours was that their owner when they were starting up was somewhere down in the States and he found a bunch of green and white uniforms for dirt cheap, so he bought those.....and that's why the Riders are green and white.

previous to 1948 (when they changed from the Regina Roughriders to the Saskatchewan Roughriders) they were Red & Black.........just like Ottawa was......

Well.....maybe Ottawa was selling a bunch of old uniforms then.

I re-read Numberz comment like 5 times and for the life of me I couldn't come up with an adequate slam from this. I'm slipping guys, sorry. I'll be back on my game tomorrow....

On a single income that can get you a house around the 160k range. Having a spouses income helps alot these days.
