Esksfans Road Trip BC Place Aug. 8th

Ok, looks like we may have a fair sized group for this one, given a group from the Island, Edmonton of course, and a group on the Lower Mainland that would like to party with all of us in 3 weeks. All told, at least 14 seats together...so far, and probably more.

Spoke to the ticket agent in question last night, and while she was not at her computer and it was Bob Ackles night, we still got to throw some ideas back and forth regarding tickets.

She was thinking of Section 12, (Esks side) first couple or rows Upper Deck (L4). We can get a group rate here she says, and I will know more on Tuesday.

So..the sooner we can all commit to seats, the better off we are. And IF you don't commit, there's a good chance that there will be a seatb very nearby if you aren't TOO late in getting an order in, and we can all still be together.

Just bring a jersey, some towels, and a pair of scissors and you should be fine....

Surely there should be a doctor in the stadium in a place of ~20-30,000 fans.....:

Actually, save for a very very few, I have it on pretty good authority that for the most part, we are all part of a half toothless mob, so I wouldn't count on it.

I'd love to be there, but I'm in Mexico City at the moment and the game happens to be my daughter's b-day...and she's hurt her leg and can't walk right now!

So, when I fly home tomorrow, I'll check with the family and see if I can abandon them for the game

How about we set a drop dead date of getting tickets of Wed. July 23rd at 4:00 MDT, and that should give GF2 some extra wiggle room as well. I think that Esks Reporter might be able to use the time to his advantage too.

I'll caress cute little Natalie's sense of self worth in the meantime.

Oh and posting in this thread would be much appreciated.

Whew...I just got this message with only minutes to spare!! I am flying in the morning of the 19th (arriving at 8:30 AM). My hotel is actually in Burnaby about a block from the sky train station, but you can count me in!! How much are the tickets?

Yes...I fly out of Edmonton early on August 8th arriving in Vancouver at 8:30 AM. It sounds like there is going to be a good group taking in the game!

Okay, I'm in (I'm guessing you were already thinking that Lawrence, but just to be sure).
Some of the folks at BC Place didn't take kindly to the wearin' of the green & gold last year, but most were good sports (although if the Eskies come up with a W, Solar Max may have to vouch for us to get us out of the stadium alive!)
Is there extended ferry service for the game, or are we Death Race 2000ing it???

Due to my daughter's b-day plans, the family has put the kibosh on this event for me. However, I did wangle a concession that they'd let me go to the Oct 10 game. So I guess I'll see you then.
