Interesting that it was the Riders who moaned and bitched for a salary cap, and since a cap was put in place for them, they only years they've won they broke the salary cap rules.

No need to be surprised. He's a human being who has not been convicted of any wrong-doing yet. He should be treated as such.

Oh trust me, this has nothing to do with a team. I still despise the Riders with every fibre of my being. But Tillman as a person deserves due process as much as the next guy.

Having gathered more info, I have changed my stance and I think ET is done. Something happened there, and it's not going away.

Even if he wins the case, he is done.

Objectively speaking, he is most definitely guilty of something.

care to share what has changed so significantly for you in the last 24 hrs?
Before you insult a man, walk a mile in his shoes. That way, when you insult him, you'll be a mile away, and have his shoes.

Nothing specific, let's just say I know a few guys in the legal system and while they didn't share the specifics of the case with me (for obvious reasons), it is pretty obvious they have a strong case and that this is more than just some accidental thing easily explained as i was lead to believe before.

Anything is possible at this stage as far as outcomes, but this will, in time, be the end of ET regardless of how it proceeds IMO.

I would be interested to hear what has changed as well.

Well, it sounds like you have one source telling you the side of the argument from Tillman's perspective, and one source telling you the crown's perspective. Obviously both sides are going to think and tell other people that, so we're still going to have to wait for this thing to go to trial...but I assumed this was the end of the ET when it started. It wouldn't have gotten to that point if it was a simple misunderstanding, and anything more than a simple misunderstanding results in ET losing his job IMO.

Wow. Thanks for sharing that, RiderTD. That surprises me. Well, we must still wait and see. If we were unwilling to exonerate him based on the initial leaked story, we must be also unwilling to convict him now.

This thing just gets more and more surreal, the more it sinks in.
Out of my mind; back in five minutes.

As much fun as this has been, I'm not speculating one way or the other and will wait til new details come to light in the court case before posting further on this topic.

I, too, have a number of sources who are equally as convinced (now) of his guilt while others are convinced of his absolute innocence.

This isn't to say that a quiet resolution cannot be made before trial. That could easily happen, especially if the alleged victim refuses to testify or is not overly co-operative. Could be a plea bargain too...who knows. And lastly, he could also get found not guilty.

That said, details will get out and his reputation will get dragged through the mud because it appears that this event is not easily explained away.

Win, lose or draw, I can't see him as GM in the future.

At least the players will rejoice if he leaves. Most of them don't like him or trust him.
