    Hamilton @ Montreal (Aug. 23)

So anyone catch the Tiger Cats at Alouettes game last night?

The first quarter and half of the second quarter were not too exciting, since it was mostly two-and-outs and nothing really big happening. It finally started to pick up after the half, with the lead changing between the teams a couple of times.

The block by Hebert on Jones was monumental - I could almost feel Jones' pain watching the game. Jones definitely got laid out hard on that one, but it was certainly an excellent block by Hebert.

I noticed André Proulx was back in uniform on the field. Although I'm not his biggest fan, I'm glad to see he's recovered and hasn't let his heart attack slow him down. With that said, however, I was certainly not pleased they called a completed catch for Montreal near the end of the fourth quarter that allowed them to get their second last field goal. The ball hit the ground before Green had control, so yeah, I was a little disappointed with that. That's the price you pay having human beings officiating, though - there will always be mistakes. Hamilton should have challenged the ruling, but I support it's too late to dwell on things in the past.

It was nice to see Chris Williams tying the CFL record for punt return TDs. You give him an open lane and BAM, he's gone.

Saw just the last few minutes. Pretty exciting. Glad to see Calvillo win at the last minute! Last night also, a last-second win. A bit disappointed in the Bombers' defense, which seemed to hold most of the game but caved at the end.
Out of my mind; back in five minutes.

Elliott blew his last play as well by going out of bounds. There should have been about 10 seconds left when the Lions got the ball back.

I thought Elliot showed a lot of poise under pressure, when he drove the ball down field to get the winning points on the board. Nice to see a young QB do that, as we could use more talent at the QB position in this league.

I thought the Bombers got lucky to tie the game because Matthews look like he stepped out of bounds a yard short on their third down gamble. Shocked there was no review...

Terrible offensive playcalling and decision making that last minute.

There was no way they should have left time on the clock.

True. If the Bombers D had been alert on that last play, they should have let the BC runner keep running. He went down with 1 second left.

I was very surprised that BC ran on the last play and I was even more surprised that Winnipeg tackled him
