Re: As expected, Bombers move west for 2014
Are they getting paid again to switch divisions?Look. We can go round and round about this all the live long day. Let's keep it simple. I embody amazement. Can you dig on that? Good. Then meet me on the corner of rock and roll, and bring a flask of something that burns.

First thing I thought as well.Originally posted by Inquiring Mind View PostAre they getting paid again to switch divisions? Before you insult a man, walk a mile in his shoes. That way, when you insult him, you'll be a mile away, and have his shoes.

I'd really like to see a time from the Atlantic Region, but I'd also be a little biased in that respect. It would be nice to have 10 teams to keep both divisions nice and even.Originally posted by BaronAmongYou View PostMy dark horse pick for 10th city that'll never happen: Saskatoon.Originally posted by Esks1975I guess Saskatchewan is the land of the 'absolute discharge'.

Ottawa and Montreal, eh? Throw Toronto into that mix, and maybe 1981 will play itself out all over againOriginally posted by The Messiah View PostWell, the good news is that we will still have the chance of the crossover playoff spot. The Esks should be better than Ottawa and Montreal next year...don't they ????

Hopefully they can make it happen.

With 10 teams and an 18 game schedule, there isn't even a need for divisions, since the schedule will be totally balancedOriginally posted by physicist88 View PostI'd really like to see a time from the Atlantic Region, but I'd also be a little biased in that respect. I've always thought it would have made sense if a Western team had been create in Spokane, Washington or Boise, Idaho. Maybe even Portland, Oregon. I don't think the overall thought of US expansion was wrong, it just wasn't carried out the right way.Originally posted by BaronAmongYou View PostMy dark horse pick for 10th city that'll never happen: Saskatoon.
Winnipeg has spent the last generation in the east, I don't really think of them as a western team now.
The Spokane County has a population of 471k and Spokane/Coeur D'Alene area has 666K in pop. Boise, Idaho has embraced a college team that plays sort of a CFL style. Portland doesn't have an NFL team. Boise and Portland have NCAA div. 1 teams so that would be competition. All we would have needed is just one more team in the West and next year we could have had 10 teams in the league.2015 EsksFans CFL Pool Winner
