    Yearly Bomber TC notes

    So......

This is the time of year that I usually drop by and over some vague hopes for the Bomber's season. Things that could theoretically make it a good one. But this year.....

It's just going to be good. You have my guarantee.

The simple fact is that all we've done this off-season is get better. We now have the best OC and the best Running Back in the league, which will make massive differences for QB safety and Defense time on the field.

We lost three games last year purely on kicking and now have the most accurate kicker signed.

Our ratio is flexible enough that likely neither Matt Bucknor nor Julian Feoli-Guidino will start, but having them as options means a starting canadian going down could mean a shift, rather than a massive down-grade.

Watching practice today, I'm excited for the battle for the 5th receiver spot (Veltung is hungry!), every time Harris will touch the ball, Westerman moving to full Glory, and I actually like our line-backers universally for the first time in a long while (Bass, Wild, Leggett). Nichols might have the weakest arm of the 4 QBs (If Brian Bennett has a brain in his head, he could be something, watch his arm in our pre-season games!)

    And we're really Blue again!

Call me crazy, but with the upheaval in the West, Montrel marching to the toilet, and Collaros out, I'm taking 11 wins for the Blue Bombers.

Winnipeg is going to be substantially better, no doubt about that.

Thank you for the report Macavity!

They are definitely better on paper but that team is still going to fall on the shoulders of whether Willy can stay healthy or not. They have the potential to have a serious jump in the standings but time will tell...

I'm especially interested to watch what happens with Mike O'Shea going into his third year as head coach. Will he be able to recapture the early glory of 2014 where the Bombers were 5-1 to start? Or is it going to be a repeat of the disaster that was 2015?
Very much a make-it-or-break-it year for him IMO.
Keep an open mind, and you never know who might walk in...

            RIP Pizmo

Probably true for a lot of teams...including us.
Out of my mind; back in five minutes.

I'm not sure folks outside of Winnipeg truly understand the steps backward by Joe Mack, but I feel that his stink is off the team completely now. IT's the Team Walters and O'Shea wanted, it should be good, or there need to be questions.

Our website has actually got some pretty good features. As boring as O'Shea's presser is, they do point out we could have one incredible D-line as well! Also a weird feature of a daily journal for Korney...

So they can finish above the Riders in fourth.

Knock on wood of course...but I don't think our season would be lost if we had to send Franklin in. I do think the Bombers season would be lost if Willy goes down...

Can't wait to see how you figure the west will look. I can't see them being ahead of either us or Calgary.
