Backed up 10 yards for the penalty

Tack on 15 yards for the punter.

Add X yards for an angle out the side of the endzone - going straight out the back (with no bounces) doesn't give you a point this year.

Never would have made it. Would have been BETTER off to try a short pass, and then have the receiver bounce-drop-kick the ball through the uprights for the win.

When you outgain a team playing its second-stringers by 200 yards, have the ball on their 1-yard line with a 13-point lead in the 4th quarter, and still lose...

...there's only one set of people who are responsible for setting up this situation. And they aren't wearing helmets.

      Maybe, this week, they should.
Out of my mind; back in five minutes.

Yeah, except for the 60% of the kicks over 40+ yards that he MISSED. I know he made it, but we should have taken 1 point and RAN.
I officially retract my vote for DDS as Prime Minister. He's clearly incompetent.

I dunno, you look at those clutch kicks over 40 yards in the past few years, and Fleming has hit them when they count....I would have faith in him.

            Ditto.

If not for the losers in stripes who still haven't been laid, it would've been a storybook finish for Flemming.

I agreed with the FG call. A punt would have made the kick longer and he would have had to angle it out without the returner bringing it out of the endzone. I think this was the safer move, and as much as I've criticized Wad, he does seem to come through in the clutch.

We had plenty of chances to put that game away.

The fake field goal was a mistake. I said at that time we'd lose by those points. There was no need for it, a FG would have put us up by three scores. It was a turning point, Riders scored 14 points minutes later.

                  Nope.

That's only for the last 3 mins of the game.

As bad as Proulx call was, this game came down to Coaching. If Macochia is not gone by tomorrow something is wrong.

OK....I'm mad, sickened, twisted, you name it!

The refs call was BS but it was not the real killer. The 2 TD's we did not make from inside the 5 yard line cost us the game. The very poor game by Morgan with his inept coverage in the 4th quarter and the STUPID penalty that Cheatwood took at the end kept their drives alive.

The offensive line has GOT TO MAKE A YARD for you when the game is on the line.....They didn't make the yard a few times.

As a coach you have to believe that your OL can do that for you, with them not producing then you either have the wrong players, wrong scheme to score, or obviously the wrong coaching staff.

Tonight we had a lot of the last 3. Maybe I can dream that the OL purposely did not block well tonight to get DM ( I am so tired of his inept coaching and defeated whipped look 95% of the time), JC, hell the whole coaching staff fired.

I still can't believe how this team lost this game tonight and took a marvelous opportunity for Sean to finish his career in Edmonton on a complete high note. I feel for you Sean, thank-you for your great playing career in Edmonton. God bless you and your family for the future!

I thought the Cheatwood penalty was stupid until I saw the replay, he hit Crandall as he released the ball.

I disagree with Cheatwood penalty, but at least I can see why they would think it's a penalty. It was one time and he hit Crandell in the chest, but he did lead with the helmet and I've seen that before. It's not THAT call that I'm particularly pissed with....I have about 5-6 other calls before that one on my list.

Had ?? (don't know who it was) held onto the punt he initially recovered, would the play have been challengeable?? Was it only because the Riders ended up recovering that the fact the Esks players was onside wasn't challengeable?

Cheatwood = Abdullah version 2.0 has always taken dumb penalties through out his career.

To me, Shabazz had possession of the ball while on the ground, without attempting to advance it, until it was knocked away by a Rider.
