    4th year in 4th Place.

    .... unbelievable.

Just unbelievable what has happened to this organization. From the longest playoff streak in North American sports... to becoming a basement team.

This isn't a league where you need high draft picks to succeed.

We're not a team that can't afford talent.

    There's no excuse. None.

And there are only two constants the last 4 years:

    DM and RR.

    That's it.

DM has slashed and cut everything that was Eskimo from the roster, and RR has become complacent and average, at best.

It's a disgrace, and it's time for it to end. The organization needs to bring in an Eskimo presence, and in a hurry, keep the talent and cut the crap, and start to rebuild.

It's time for DM to be FIRED and Ray to be traded... and this is coming from a guy who has called Ray the best QB in the league for ages. He's just not progressing, and I see zero reason to believe he will progress any more past where he is.

It's a ****ty day to be an Eskimo fan.
"This year, we did what we were supposed to do. We fought as a team. We fought as a team. And the fact is, we gotta go back and go to work, to make sure we finish this next time. That's all we gotta do. This right here makes us stronger. Let's understand who we are as a team. Let's understand this right here makes us stronger." - Ray Lewis, January, 2012.

I've said before I really think Z is going to be our QB soon.. I wish we all could find out what the hell is with Ray - is he holding a grudge? Has he "lost it"

I wouldn't trade Ray, but I sure as hell wouldn't start him next week.
I will not, for a moment longer, support an organization who chooses to cowardly kneel where they once fiercely & proudly stood

I really think he will maybe not this offseason - but maybe the next..

But there is clearly something wrong with Ray..

No offense meant, but big fat chance that will happen.

We won't even take him out for a ****ing series when the offense has produced sweet **** all for 60 minutes.

60 minutes... and we have 2 FG's and 1 missed FG to show for it.

            That's it.

            What a ****ing joke.

Having a $400, t0 $500 thou a year back up QB isn't going to work. Ray has to be gone at the end of year if he isn't solidly the #1 guy next year as he should be. (With a totally new front office and coaching staff.)

It's an interesting set of questions.

We essentially cleaned house with the coaching staff after last year but it didn't do much good. If we clean them out again, what will change?

As far as the front office staff goes, DM, RL and the board of governors are as tight as chrome to a trailer hitch so I can't see much changing there.

I think what is required is a guy like Quinn who just comes in and says this is the way it's going to f********* be. We need someone who is a real boss.

To me, DM RL and RH all look like guys who don't have much in the way of balls and that's tough because this isn't ballet, it's football.

And for that reason we are flat out doomed. Morons at the top that don't give a **** of the team falls on its face year after year.

                    #1) Fire DM.
#2) Start Z the rest of the way.
#3) Trade Ray to Toronto for whatever you can get.

What does TO have that we would want? They've looked even worse than we have lately.
Out of my mind; back in five minutes.

I'll go along with the first two but not the last one.

Look at what Quinn has done for Penner. We all wanted him gone but now he has confidence.

The Esks are a poorly coached and poorly managed team. It's not all the garden gnome's fault (as I read in the Journal comments) but sometimes you just have to make a change. Like I said though, the board doesn't see it that way. That's the problem with community based ownership. It has its advantages and I want the Esks to stay community owned but it takes a "consensus" to fire you. In private ownership, usually when "the boss" is upset, you're gone.

Zeke Moreno, Adriano Belli, Willie Pile, Kevin Eiben and draft picks off the top of my head...

Jonathon Brown would be my first guy to target, if only he was younger.

Huntley has been impressive as well.

If Ray is hypothetically traded to TO, I say we solidify our Canadian talent. Get TO's first overall pick this year, and the 8th overall pick(Hamilton forfeited their pick this season by signing Carlson- TO has the 1st pick of the 2nd round, IIRC), maybe try get some more picks down the road in future drafts. A guy like Adriano Belli would be great as well.
