Why release McNeal... he didn't produce 'cause Ray never had time to LOOK AT HIM!!! The kid has size and smarts.. and we trade for cement hands Rodrequeez?????
So we signed McNeal for three weeks and cut him without ever really seeing/testing what he could do because.........??????
If he wasn't a fit for your "not about footbal ability" why would we have signed him in the first place?
Sounds kind contradictory to me........ just sayin'.
Coaches learn ALOT about a guy from day to day interactions and things they see on the practice field and in meeting rooms. Just because we as fans who generally only get to see the games weren't able to evaluate him doesn't mean that the coaches didn't have all the info they needed to make this decision.

I hope you're right Ben... he had brief flashes in Hamilton then it just turned fugly after that knee injury..........
Obviously there were a ton of problems... but rewatching the game, it sure looked like Rodriguez was giving up on a lot of his routes, even when there was still a play to be made.
Look. We can go round and round about this all the live long day. Let's keep it simple. I embody amazement. Can you dig on that? Good. Then meet me on the corner of rock and roll, and bring a flask of something that burns.

on the first pick definatly
i personally would like to have had him at slot.. but not my call.. his best play was when joseph gave him that sideline pass, that he took about 30 yards

The exact reason we hated him in Sask - all kinds of potential - great physical ability - no heart - no work ethic -quits on more plays than he makes - I think at least Bowman will be ready
