    Lets talk OFFENCE!!!

O-Line needs to be better, is it??? Tyler Mitchell ?? Hinse All Star Rottier
Much younger, quality backups. Tyler was just OK i thought. Like to see Mitchel step up and grab a starters role.

Recievers Doug Brown on TSN says we have the best group in the CFL.

Backs will be interested to see who we bring in. Charles is a good#2 good hands but not a #1 .Same goes for McCarthy. Need a number 1.

Qbs Jyles, most act if he has never played football, but i think you will be surprised. His year in the Peg when he was the starter his numbers were not that far off Rays that year. This years offence should be perfect for him. Lots of rollouts and options. The question for him is acuracy , and health.

Our offence was the weakest part of the team last year. I am glad they traded Ray,not happy on the return. If we are going to beat BC the offence needed to be overhauled. From what I hear it will be similar to alot of spread offences they are using in USA college ball. e.g. Baylor West Virginia . Watched those teams and thier 0 was unstoppable.

Big hole at RB. Charles at 170lbs isn't the answer.

Jyles is in almost a no win situation and I feel bad for him already. Anything short than a banner career year for him puts him in a very bad light due to no fault of his own. If he is what he is, he'll get criticized for what he is, not as good as RR. He struggles badly, the fans will get on him as a byproduct of their anger over trading RR/what we got back for RR. If he's not the starter by some point this year, then expect a lot of people pissed off that our return on RR is even less than the three magic beans we got to start.

    1+2= 2 & outs

Good thing we have all those kickers. They might get worn out
I will not, for a moment longer, support an organization who chooses to cowardly kneel where they once fiercely & proudly stood

I really think this O will surprise many, but they will no doubt have growing pains and hit rough patches.

Im excited to see who we bring in from down south to carry the load, it'll be key to find a real good back.

Recievers are great no worries there, wont be surprised if we uncover another gem though.

Real excited about the line, not sure where everyone will line up but i really hope we give an all canadian line a shot, unless the import is an absoulute stud.

Tons of pressure on Jyles to deliver. I'm just hoping that our young guns behind him get some serious field time to help develop them (sorry Kerry, I think you need to sit this one out). At RB, I expect some sort of split in duties unless someone emerges as a back who can take the play after play pounding for 18 games. The line should be better than last year; despite the loss of Barnes, our receivers should be a better group than last year (again, lets see Coehoorn see some field time to properly evaluate).
If there ever was a year for Jyles to make believers out of people, this is it. I want Jyles to succeed, but I think he's gonna try to do too much himself, and that's gonna land him on the IR list before mid season. Hopefully I'm wrong.
Hope, at the end of the day connects us all, no matter how different we are

This will be an interesting position to watch during TC. We've made quite a few changes so I am curios to see how things eventually shake out. Am still hopeful that they bring back PK at a lower price (something ET mentioned the esks were interested in doing at the time of his release...of course that might have been just a PR fluff thing to say) if he doesn't sign on somewhere else.

I like the group...will be interesting to see how Carr and Koch fit in and if Coehoorn can take a step forward and earn more reps on offense.

For me this is where the scouting staff will really need to earn their money...don't see Charles as the solution here at least not by himself...really need to find a diamond in the rough.

He did have some success there but did not show the consistency of a RR. He has the physical tools and supposedly the intelligence/work ethic...he'll just have to put it all together and prove it...will he do it?...only time will tell.

Unlike you I am unhappy that they traded RR and believe that with a little bit of tweaking they had a great chance to make it to the GC this year...IMO they have taken a step back...I guess we'll see.

Am curious to see what impact a running game coordinator (the title they've given Baressi) will have on the offense as a whole from a play calling/design perspective.

The fact that he is still even on our roster at this point boggles my mind.

Is there a realistic chance that Mitchell steps up and grabs a starting spot? We didn't see a lot of him last year but it was mentioned around draft time that he was already pretty advanced for a younger offensive lineman.

At receiver, I'm assuming Bowman, Carr, and Stamps start for sure - that leaves one spot open. Koch is going to get some minutes for sure and Nowacki will slide in a lot as well. Is there any chance Coehoorn gets regular minutes at the second wide receiver spot?

I agree about KJ he should be cut, no need for him. But I think tillman really likes the guy so its possible he'll be the backup.

KJ does alot of mentoring to the young QBs which is good, but i think they should make him the QB coach and sit him out on the PR.

I wouldnt object to that but id rather see any young QB over KJ right now. Hes a decent stopgap at best but we need to find our future qb.

Its not that i dislike RR I just think their was some holes in his game that never were fixed and I like to have a qb that can run a little more than Ricky. Look at Lulay,no matter how we game planned it seemed he always beat us with his legs.

I didn't mean to imply that you disliked him. I understand that everything being equal a running QB will be more effective but IMO everything else is not equal especially when comparing SJ to RR. Also IMO you should be able to create a game plan and place personnel around RR which will allow you to win a GC...he's done it before and there is no reason IMO that he could not do it again...I personally do not see holes in his game but everyone is entitled to his opinion and there are many that share your view (including apparently ET)...as far as I'm concerned all QBs have strengths and weaknesses and IMO his strengths far out weigh the perceived weaknesses that many have attributed to him...I guess we'll see what happens from here both in Edmonton and TO...time will tell the story not only for this season but for years to come.
