Robinson, Sewell, and Howard are all projected out for Friday. Stop gap only, I would assume.

Heck of a stop gap though. I really liked Wroten last year with Toronto, particularly early in the season, and I think finances were a big reason why he was released this year.

I understand that they want to be cautious with Howard's hamstring injury and not aggravate it into a longer-term issue, but am surprised to hear about Sewell and Robinson coming off the bye week. Presumably, that leaves us with Williams, Lemon, Capicciotti and potentially Simoni Lawrence as an emergency guy. Wroten, Laurent and Oramasionwu don't strike me as guys you'd typically move out to DE, and outside of Robinson, we don't really have LBs that you'd naturally move up to DE.

Might this be karma paying a visit for releasing Jeanty?

Howard is supposed to back for Montreal and I don't think there was any indication that Robinson was injured so probably gone for just one game I'd imagine. If those guys are out for longer than that though, you'd have to question the release of Jeanty.

I know that there has been some talk of Howard back against Mtl, but I've also heard some rumblings that it might be the week after. With that type of injury, where there is a greater risk of reinjury, I'll always bet the over rather than the under on the duration. I would agree that it's likely a fairly short-term thing for Robinson, but it seems a little like Murphy's law that we released a vet that had been working in the system just a week before having to sign a guy and activate him to the roster. This is the very reason for keeping the inflated roster with the guys stashed. May not be full on irony here, but it's in the neighbourhood.

Well put... gotta make you wonder what Kavis/Tillan are thinking!!! I hate this Chinese fire drill **** we seem to go thru when it comes to staffing...... shouldn't our "hidden roster" make up for this stuff??
