At the bottom it also says that they released Sweeny. 5 bucks Hamilton signs him.
When you don't know that you don't know, it's a lot different than when you do know that you don't know.

Well, the injury bug has hit them hard
Hope, at the end of the day connects us all, no matter how different we are

And they just released 2 players, which means they should be ready to sign 6.

Dallas Cowboys Undrafted Free Agents: Tyrone Novikoff Profile

              By KD Drummond @KDP10for10 on Jun 10 2012, 1:17p

Well, at least we know that the Cowboys are more fond of Tyrone Novikoff than they are of Taylor Dever. Dallas made a eyebrow-raising move late last week, releasing UDFA OT Dever to resign castoff Pat McQuistan. McQuistan was with the team during the Bill Parcells era but never amounted to much. In fact, he didn't perform all that greatly during stops in Miami or New Orleans over the past two seasons so one could look at his return as an endictment on the young pups that are currently competing for spots along the line. In the case of Novikoff, at least he wasn't the low man on the totem pole.

Standing almost 6'7" and weighing 316 lbs, Novikoff comes from the University of Idaho. He started 25 consecutive games and played in 46 over his four-year career with the Vandals. He was invited to play in the Players All-Star Classic after the 2011 season he spent as a team captain; a trait that the Cowboys have come to appreciate over the Jason Garrett era.

There haven't been many reports of his performance in either the rookie minicamps or the OTAs, as linemen rarely get the chance to show their abilities until the full contact of training camp. For now, at least he knows that the brass saw more in him than one of his competitors as he wasn't the first man on the chopping block. Novikoff also has the ability to play at the guard position; which won't hurt him considering the problems the interior of the line had for Dallas last season. With only three known quantities at the tackle position (refusing to count McQuistan) in Tyron Smith, Doug Free and Jeremy Parnell, Tyrone Novikoff has the opportunity in front of him. What will he make of it?

You know your Oline still sucks when you sign 2 Olinemen in 2 days.

Here's a question about Sweeney. Could they not have him return kicks???? He guy has great wheels and apparently the Esks don't want to bring in a "one dimensional" kick returner. They kept him after TC so obviously they thought he could at least be a back up. I'd sure as hell rather see him returning kicks than Koch who happens to be our second best receiver.
Blindly accept whatever they do and if it doesn't work out, I guess there's always next year.

They tried him out at returner and didn't like his ball security

They could have put someone beside him to catch the ball and then give it to him. Run Forrest, Run.

They did? I must of missed that kick because the experiment sure didn't last very long. At some point they are going to have to try someone and give them a shot rather than running out critical starters like Koch, Charles, Burnett.
One thing I am starting to really notice about Kavis is he sure has little patience when it comes to virtually any player not named Kerry Joseph. When the Esks "run the ball". If after 3 carries they aren't averaging 10 yards a carry, the quickly abandon it. He seems to have a few of his "boys" who can do no wrong yet everyone else has zero margin for error.

I missed the first game of the year completely - didn't even see it on TV- so I am assuming he must of did some returning that first game. I seem to remember Burnett returning kicks by game 2. I know his "job" is to win games but how hell are you going to develop a young team if at the first time they make any sort of mistake, they get yanked.

And why aren't we bringing in more CB's what with Grymes now going down and Burnett just coming back with a tender hamstring? Not a lot of depth there and now we have to play Chris R on Sun v TO. Ricky will light him up early and often.....

We could sign one today if that makes everyone happy. Or we can wait and get one we feel can make an impact, that may currently be on an NFL training camp roster. 1st round of cuts just happened...

Our returners have done jack all this season apart from Koch's one return. Part of it is obviously due to blocking/scheme problems as well.

I'd be happy with absolutely ANYONE back there who can catch the ball without fumbling just so that we can stop risking injury to our #2 receiver in Koch, our #1 RB in Charles, and our all-star CB in Burnett, who are obviously impact plalyers for us. Use any dedicated returner UNTIL we find the "impact" one that they are searching for.
