Jordan Lynch has he got all the tools?

This guy has all but done great things every time he is put in and also on special teams.

I wonder if Jordan Lynch could be a starter some day. I hope so.

Every time he is in the defenses know it is a running play but he's had mostly success but he did throw for a TD the one time. Maybe that was the plan. Set up for his runs all year and on a crucial time he passes.

We have not seen enough of him to know if he can read defenses or play well as a started or even a backup.

    Opinions?

I have only had the privilege of seeing one Eskimo practice this year in late July. Based on that one practice alone, I think he is an okay passer, but nowhere near as good as the other 3 quarterbacks the Eskimos have. I think he would struggle with our regular offense - especially those long outs to the far side of the field. If he was a #1 QB, the offensive set would definitely need to be revised.
Love his intensity though! Hope he proves me wrong.

Hope, at the end of the day connects us all, no matter how different we are

I haven't seen anything to make me believe he has all the tools then again I've seen him throw one pass and it required a nice catch to haul in. I do think he has all the intensity and heart to be a quality change of pace QB.

Those of us who saw a lot of Training Camp all agreed that Lynch had the weakest arm of the lot, and that included U of S QB Drew Burko. His tosses tended to have a lot of wobble to them, and definitely didn't have the strength to put any zip on the wide out throws.

          He's here as a wildcard

He has a huge heart and he loves to play the game. Time will tell if he has the tools.

If that's so then we will probably have him here for a long time which is a good thing unless we have our top 2 go down.

I've seen some vitriol filled idiots on the Empire Facebook page suggest he should be #2 on the depth chart.

He's no where ready to be anything more than what he is right now from what I've seen, and it may be years if he is able to progress beyond that.

I hope he can, because I like the way he is playing in the role he's been asked so far.

Lynch is a gamer. Ron Lancaster didn't throw the prettiest ball either. Not saying that Lynch is a starter because he isn't but... When you get a guy going out there doing everything the team asks him to and then some.. How do you keep a guy like that off of the field?

The fact that he's on specials shows you what the coaches think of him as a QB. Love him on specials though.

The only reason Lynch survived camp was because of the roll he was asked to play (Pat White). As mentioned by many others, he is not a great passer and it took seven weeks before he was even allowed to throw a pass in a football game. Does that mean he cannot develop? No...but the odds are not with him.

To me it was never about what I accomplished on the football field, it was about the way I played the game.

Also, when Lynch makes a play, the guys on the bench go nuts. To see a QB hustle down and pin a guy in the endzone, to get an important point to tie the game, makes everyone else pick up their game.
