Fair enough. There's only so much time in a day to watch our shows.

I watched the last period of the Finland - Canada hockey game this morning at breakfast. Found it very exciting.

I really wish I could have seen McDavid on that big ice.

But overall, I have found it very tough to get into these Olympics. I did like watching the Hungarian skier in half-pipe! LOL

Happy to see all the gold Canada acquired yesterday though! That's always a positive!

And, I think the ladies curling is done-zo now. They put themselves into to big a hole to dig out of.
Because short track. There is no other answer in that heartbreaking sport.

**** shootouts. This is the only medal that I would say doesn’t feel good because Canada and USA are literally the only good women’s hockey teams. Silver is basically a participation medal in women’s hockey.

Canada looked so slow and exhausted in overtime. They never threatened to score in ot until the late pp and even that was marred by poor puck control.

Why all the dekes on a 4 foot tall goalie in the shootout? Come in with speed and shoot the damn puck!

Two more medals in short track. Kim Boutin continues her great games with a silver medal in the 1,000m and the men end up with bronze in the 5,000m relay.

Silver for Canada in the hockey game...don't want to talk about that one.

Kevin Koe and the Canadian curlers continue to disappoint and end up losing to the Americans. They will play the Swiss for bronze now. Both teams just didn't make shots all week long. Very frustrating.

We have a chance for some medals today in women's ski cross as we had three of our four women finish with the top times in seeding. But it's ski cross so you never know what can happen.

What a disappointment for Koe. Picked the worst game throw under 65% on draws, for both him and Kennedy.

Tough to beat any team. however, that curls all over 90%. Americans deserved wins in both games they beat Canada.

The speed of the Americans caught up with them in OT, as they were dominated most of the extra frame. And yes; shootouts do ****ing suck.

Hungary's gold medal in the men's short track relay was their first ever Winter gold and first winter medal (7th overall) since 1980. That's pretty neat.

The big ice surface really helps the USA. Outstanding skaters. Sucks to lose in a shootout.

Gold and silver in ladies ski cross!!!

That brings us to 26 medals, tied with Vancouver for most in a single games. And still opportunities to add to that with men’s hockey, men’s curling, women’s figure skating, men’s big air, and the 4 man bobsled.

Hockey is not a disappointment. Women's was basically a coin flip. No expectations for the men.

The big surprise and let down was the 1/3 curling medals.

I think they really need to reconsider how we do the curling trials. We have these teams building up to peak two months before the Olympics just to get out of Canada, and do nothing to prepare them for international play.

I'd rather we have the trials the season/year before, and appoint the team and then give them the better part of the year to solely focus on the Olympics and peak for those. Maybe send them to Europe and Asia to play some games against these teams with different styles, and on weird ice with weird rocks, cause we sure seem to complain about those endlessly whenever we're anywhere but at home.

Yeah, I was kinda alright with that... especially since we still got a medal and Korea didn't!
Look. We can go round and round about this all the live long day. Let's keep it simple. I embody amazement. Can you dig on that? Good. Then meet me on the corner of rock and roll, and bring a flask of something that burns.

I don't think the trials are the issue. The top teams, who will likely be competing in the trial process, are playing these top European and Asisn teams all year long, in the Grand Slam and WCT series.

They had a ****ty week; both teams. The others got hot, and didn't miss much. Really easy to get up to play vs. Canada, when you know you're the underdog.

Yes, they play the the top ones, but even those are over here in comfortable surroundings with consistent equipment.

The men have done alright internationally... but the women have only won one of the last five Olympics, and one of the last 8 or 9 World Championships. There are definitely issues that go beyond a ****ty week.
