Re: Conservatives Attempt to Bankrupt the Opposition! Another Election Coming??
1. I am a Conservative supporter.
But what Steven Harper did was just sheer idiocy that I cannot stomach it. There is a time and place for political gamesmenship... But do to announce it in an "economic update" when this country (and the world) is facing the worst recession (just wait til Oct - Dec stats come out, folks) since the Great Depression is just plain RETARDED
The Conservatives had better can his ass to the next plane back to Calgary because of the stupidity of his move.
Having said that
2. There is a time and place for politics, and if you REALLY believe that this "coalition" is anything BUT political gamesmenship, then you have your head shoved so far up your ass it's a wonder you can breathe or see anything.
If the NDP and the Liberals, by themselves, had enough seats to pull this off them my temper would be slightly abated.
But that these sons of bitches have given the BLOC QUEBECOIS - a separatist party -- the balance of power to lord over this country is completely, and utterly, inexcusable.
Don't let the "fact" that a Bloc MP isn't a minister fool you...they don't want to have a Ministry (since Minstry's apply for all of Canada anyway, which they aren't interested it but I digress), but they will get ALL the perks of this entire arrangement by making Layton / Dion dance like puppets on strings in the background, without a single Bloc MP having to be accountable for anything.
3. Dion is the FAILED LEADER of a EMBARRASSED party from the last election. Every single Liberal MP had their whetting stones out, sharpening their knives, and stumbling all over themselves to be the first to drive it into the back of their lame duck leader.
And now, today, he has been annointed as leader of this coalition. You want to talk about no mandate to govern -- THE GUY WAS RESIGNING. Oops...now that I am going to be the Prime Minister, I guess I'll hold off a bit!
And Taliban Jack... For him, this is about as close as he comes to being the Prime Minister as he'll EVER get. It's like he's the fat kid in high school that claims to have lost their virginity, when really all that happened is he spied the school's quarterback rail the head cheerleader through a peephole in the change room.
4. Who brokered this deal? Well despite the legality of how the information was gained, it's clear that Jack "Closet Separatist" Layton was in bed with Duceppe for months now.
And who arranged the deal with the Liberals? One Mr. Jean "I think I'm the King of Canada" Chretein and former NDP Leader Ed Broad Bent.
As in...TWO PEOPLE COMPLETELY OPERATING WITH NO AUTHORITY OF ANY Canadian
Right now I feel like fleeing to a Banana Republic. Because THAT WAY I'll at least be familiar with the style of Government.
Finally, I see that I stand corrected on the reversal of the tax cuts. Don't want to be confused of pushing an agenda.
