    Offseason Poll #3 - Dogs vs. Cats

    For our third installment, we pit perhaps one of the most classic rivalries ever.

        Had and loved dogs all my life; for the last 15 years have had a cat. It takes longer to recognize and appreciate the personalities of cats, but they're just as varied and fun as dogs once you get to know them. I can't vote in this poll; I like 'em both.

              I like dogs...but like Pops always said to me growing up. "If you can eat it in one sitting...it ain't a dog"...so we're talking Sheppards, Labs, Akitas...etc. None of these f'ing little rat dogs that girls like to carry around in their purses. Might as well get a fricking guinea pig for all the good it is. But, being in town now - without the room for a proper dog - and I know the boy, and the TW are not going to be the ones scooping crap off the back lawn...I've resigned myself to the fact that we'll most likely be getting a cat.

                I do agree with you Boydo. I grew up on a farm with German Shepherds, Collies, & Labs. Love big dogs. It's tougher to provide the space & needs for a larger dog in the city, especially when you're renting. Still, I'd rather have a terrier than a cat.

                  Yeah, I've always said if you can pick it up an punt it, it's not a dog

                  I like bigger dogs, especially ones kids can wrestle with, and we always had them growing up on the farm. But now living in town I don't think it's fair to the dog to have to live like this, so I do without. I think I'd get a rabbit before I got a cat though.

                    Dogs for the win! Big or small, they are always there for you. Cats are so egotistical and classless.
                    Keep an open mind, and you never know who might walk in...

                          Have a Beagle and a Dachshund and they make us laugh everyday. First thing my boys do in the morning and the last thing they do before they go to bed is love their pups

                            We have a black lab who is hilarious and so full of energy you can run her for hours and she'll never tire. She's fun to watch and very smart...maybe too smart at times.

                            We have two cats too. They are both funny in their own way as they love to get on the counter, which my wife hates, and they love to chase and tackle each other at random times...sometimes they even do it at 3am when the house is dead silent and we hear hissing and lots of thumping.

                            I love both cats and dogs but if I had to say I was one kind of person, dogs would win that battle every day.
