Arasha Madani : Esks to sign Bouman and Gauthier (RUMOR)

    Per his Twitter.
"This year, we did what we were supposed to do. We fought as a team. We fought as a team. And the fact is, we gotta go back and go to work, to make sure we finish this next time. That's all we gotta do. This right here makes us stronger. Let's understand who we are as a team. Let's understand this right here makes us stronger." - Ray Lewis, January, 2012.

      No thanks...

If signing rider cast offs is deemed not worthy, then IMHO neither of these should be wearing green and gold in 2011

If that is true, I got no problems with that. Bouman is a big, Canadian receiver that seems to be coming into his own finally. Lord knows they need all the help they can get on the Oline.
Blindly accept whatever they do and if it doesn't work out, I guess there's always next year.

17 catches for 298 yards shouldn't get Bauman too much of a pay increase as a free agent. If we can get him cheap, he'd be worth a signing...
Hope, at the end of the day connects us all, no matter how different we are

The only way he cashes in a bit, is because of his second half performance with the Cats. Most of those 298 yards were in the last 4 games of the year.

As said in other thread; Bauman has the potential to be great but his hands consistently let him down. If he could ever get it together then he would be a top NI receiver.

Gauthier is a good short-term solution at LT with NI status.

Crap. Here I am trying to defend Tillman's scouting scope and he picks another guy he has ties to. Oh and someone who played for Regina.

If it is true, Gauthier could help out but not sure what is wrong with our starters already. Would rather wait until the draft next year and when Rottier is available to build a line of the future. On the old side but NI so I guess okay...maybe takes Parquet's spot and we get that all Canadian line.
Here's hoping Bauman pulls a KP8- but unlikely

Before you insult a man, walk a mile in his shoes. That way, when you insult him, you'll be a mile away, and have his shoes.

Bauman = the 2nd coming of Brock Ralph. I haven't watched Gauthier enough to form an opinion.

Gauthier is a former all-star, but former is really the key word there. His best years are behind him and would be, at best, a vet backup/mentor and his salary should reflect that.

TSN was reporting that both were possibly waived by Hamilton today.

They were released early from their contracts with Hamilton. They were Hamilton's property until the 15th but since they have been released they are free to talk with whoever they want now.

the 2nd coming of brock ralph isn't a bad thing at all. ralph still puts up decent numbers.
