Sounds good another Hybrid type player But he looks like a better Defensive half. If he adjusts well to the CFL game He and Thompson at the halfs and Walls on the Crner would be an impressive Backfield.

You would think that would be the logical way to go considering our depth of NI talent at the safety position but KR and Co have been pretty much mum on the subject from what I remember reading/hearing/seeing. Alternatively I recall a number of comments (KR and RS) indicating that it is their goal to make one of the CB positions a strictly NI position with Canadian starters and backups. I know it has been the trend to go with Import safeties with some clubs in the CFL. Perhaps that will also be the case here. Doesn't make sense to me though from a personnel point of view.

I'm not sold on Alexander starting anywhere across the board.. I'm still sold on richardson at safety.. Can't see why we would jettison him to a back up role after really excelling last year..

It wasn't a weak link at all Richardson got better as time went along. He is a strong hitter not great but decent speed and seems to have football smarts. He will almost certainly start in my opinion. Borhot is good as well and with more seasoning may become a starting Half as well.

It depends on what you're asking the safety to do? If all you expect of him is to patrol between the hashmarks the Richardson has proven to be effective. If you're asking for over the top help outside the hashmarks then he isn't the answer and Borhot has the better range and size to help out that way.
