    Game-day thread--EE v Tiger-Cats

Despite our record at Never-Wynne over the past several season, I'm actually optimistic about a win tonight! But only if our running game produces some decent yardage, thus taking some of the pressure off RR and the receivers.

Look for Fred Stamps to have a much better outing than his two-catch game against the Stumps and if they try to double-team him then Bowman & others should be open.

Glad to see our defensive backfield back to full strength although we'll miss TJ Hill against their running game.

I'm actually looking for Barnes to make an impact. Part of the reason for the team's early success had to do with the fact that defenses weren't able to key on particular receiving threats. They concentrated on Stamps, and Barnes stepped up. They went for Barnes, and Bowman had a big day. Having Barnes back ought to open things up for Bowman and Stamps.

Having said that...is Barnes actually back tonight, or is it another week?
Out of my mind; back in five minutes.

according to Dave Campbell, Eskimos scratches: SB Dobson Collins, LB Mark Restelli, WR Nate Coehoorn, and OL Dylan Steenbergen & Barnes won't play (1 or 2 weeks away as per Kavis)
Hope, at the end of the day connects us all, no matter how different we are

Almost a must win for the Esks to stay ahead of the now motivated hard charging riders.

Barnes suffered a setback this week in practice. His likely return time is the 30th of September when we play in BC

In fact, Barnes is on the one-game IR for the time being and hopefully will be back nest week against the Als. With him in the line-up, it will be difficult to double-team either Stamps or Bowman....

Agreed. Without the run game then the defense has to play out of it's mind for us to have a chance unless unforeseen circumstances like turnovers or penalties end up playing a role.

Having our starting (or mostly) starting corp of recievers also helps the run game and vice versa. It all works together.

Run the ball 22+ times = win the game. Simple as that. Let's hope Kavis and Crandell are on the same page.

So...first set of downs, 2nd and 3, and Ray airs it out...

                            Result: 2 and out.
