Re: Practice Roster
The delays on this have been absolutely unacceptable. It's an embarrassing lack of communication.Originally posted by Jtuck09 View PostSo are we ever going to hear who is on our practice roster??? It's been a few days now...
John Goebel and Mike Benson have been pseudo-confirmed as having been put on the PR through Twitter talk, but nothing from the club that I've seen.Life is Good.

Re: Practice Roster
Every team except us has their practice roster on the CFL web site. Someone has decided not to put ours up for a reason. E.T. should have been in charge of security for the D-Day invasion. It makes no sense not to make it available to the public. Obviously the other teams have access to it. Sheesh, it's not like the ordinary fan is gonna pluck someone from the PR.
Just makes no sense to me.

Re: Practice Roster
This comes from the Edmonton Sun:
EDMONTON - The CFL confirmed Wednesday that the Eskimos had gotten their seven-man practice roster in on time ahead of last weekend’s deadline.
But an internal communication error within the CFL has delayed it from being posted on the website at the same time as the other teams’ were.
For the record, the Eskimos have signed former Hamilton Tiger-Cats receiver Glenn Mackay, of Windsor, Ont., to their practice squad, which also includes import receivers Dobson Collins and Yamon Figurs, kicker Swayze Waters, linebacker Clint Kent, defensive end Almondo Sewell and fullback Mike Benson.

Re: Practice Roster
So we have to blame the CFL for the error. I am confused... if Swayze Waters is signed to the Practice Roster, does that mean he is not playing against the Argos on Sat?Originally posted by esksswagthebest View PostThis comes from the Edmonton Sun:

Re: Practice Roster
Esks had 3 days to have to declare Kent and Waters. If this report is accurate, it would appear that Shaw and Dales will play Saturday.Originally posted by esksswagthebest View PostSo we have to blame the CFL for the error. This would appear to be a more recent version of the PR, as obviously Kent and Waters wouldn't have been on the initial one. There had been a tweet by someone in the media that mentioned Goebel being on the PR but it has since been deleted. I had replied to the tweet, and when I try to recreate the conversation, it states that the tweet was deleted.Originally posted by cmbuk View Postno import RB?? 4 kickers and no back up import back... just wow..
My guess is that we have a body or two around that may not be "on the record". While I made the point to Opus that I didn't believe that using the injured list to store players was cheating, if they are actually keeping undeclared players, that is obviously a very different scenario.Life is Good.

Maybe they are doing what Huff was trying to do with Pall, paying for their accomodations while they heal up (Ross), just guessing but it seems like that stuff happens a fair bitOriginally posted by GreatWhiteNorth View PostEsks had 3 days to have to declare Kent and Waters. They did, he handed in his resignation a couple weeks backOriginally posted by SandManFan View PostThe Esks really need a front office guy to take care of all this media stuff... they could call the position Vice President, Communications & Broadcast. If on;y they had someone like that..I will not, for a moment longer, support an organization who chooses to cowardly kneel where they once fiercely & proudly stood
