Fair enough... and I don't mean to give Reed and Co. a pass by any measure. They've been terrible too.

You know, everybody is saying that it's ET's way or th highway but if you can't stand up to your GM and say "hey, I want to win and that's the bottom line so we are starting MN" then what kind of leader are you? The unspoken assumption is that the black coach can't stand up to the white GM or else he will be canned but I don't buy it. This isn't the 1950's.

Seems fair, but I truly believe there are more than a handful of people in the organization (especially players) that aren't here - not because of ability, but because they had an open opinion of ET that wasn't very positive.

You might be right but if you don't have the mental toughness to stand up to a dictator and accept the consequences then you are not a very good choice as leader. Leadership is difficult and demanding at the best of times but if you are a sheep then don't look forward to swimming with the sharks too long. Appeasement doesn't work.

Seems that the coaching staff put Nichols in only because of an injury to Joseph's finger

How long does it take for you to stop talking about crap players no longer on the team?

That was more of a comment about a player that is still on the team, IMO.

With 2 minutes to go in the CFL you order a short kick? A low percentage play? Wrong call and you can't blame ET for that one. Let's not forget at least a dozen other mistakes on the field during the day.

I thought the same thing. Way too early for the onside. Didn't show a lot of confidence in the ability of the defence to hold them and get the ball back.

Tillman gave the marching orders way back. The only reason they gave Nichols the one start was cause they figured he'd suck and it would shut everyone up.. then when he played moderately well they immediately announced Joseph as starter for the rest of the year. Tillman went all in with Jyles and Joseph, and he's hell bent to see it through. There is no room in the spotlight for anyone else.

That's my thoughts on the Nichols start to.. Kind of throw a bone to the dogs type of thing

That Injury he's had for a few weeks now, according to the Sun. Pinky finger on throwing hand. KJ said it doesnt affect his throwing...

If you have an injury on your throwing hand, your not 100%

Shouldn't even be out there

Unfortunatly reed has nailed his season reputation and prob job to a 39 year old guy and he is prob gonna pay the price

It's interesting that Tillman's clones have been awful quite the last couple months... usually you'd figure we'd be besieged by wave after wave or drive-by posters bestowing Pervie's virtues.

What can they say.. Everything is going so well right now..
