Terms of the deal not disclosed. I think Shaw showed some great potential to do all 3 duties for years to come.

I like this a lot. Given his age and development compared with long-term Canadian kickers in the CFL, he has the potential to solve our kicking problems down the road. As long as we're patient.

That's a tough spot. I don't know how long his contract is for but I think it's for another year. Talk is he's taking a shot down south so the priudent thing to do is bite hard and keep him around for insurance of some sort and see how it shakes out

Like most of Tillman's (patoooie!) trades, it's one that we paid too much for. (McKnight I mean...not Shaw) Well, we did pay too much for Shaw but I think he's the one bright spot of that trade. Glad to hear he's going to be sticking around and a couple of tough ones aside, he did pretty good for us last year.Once an Eskimo, ALWAYS an Eskimo.Comment

McKnight is in the last year of his deal. When he was in Montreal, he was quoted as saying he'd like to go back and give the NFL another shot when his contract is up, so 2013 is probably it for McKnight in Green & Gold. If the plan is to have him do all three jobs then compare that number to 2 guys making 65K or so a year then you have some potential savings. 100k is pretty damn high.... but IF he can do all 3 jobs fairly proficiently, then we would save some money over having 2 separate kickers... i agree though, its high for sureComment
