I definitely agree with you there.

I would be ok with that. Just out of curiosity tho, do you know what the reason is for the negativity that some people on this board have towards him? Is it strictly due to the Stegal play or is there more to it than that. Cause from what I can tell I never saw anything really wrong with him.

        Re: Kavis "Consequences" Reed: GTFO

I think it stems from the fact that the only reason he got hired here in the first place was because nepotism reared its ugly head with him being Hughie's son and all that. And certainly the Stegall miscue didn't help his cause any....

I've heard that speculation, and I don't think another first time HC is what we need.

            That really limits the possibilities.

An excellent point, and a frequently overlooked one at that.
Look. We can go round and round about this all the live long day. Let's keep it simple. I embody amazement. Can you dig on that? Good. Then meet me on the corner of rock and roll, and bring a flask of something that burns.

So be it. I think there are very few out there who could legitimately be successful currently in the CFL. Someone who could be the next Milanovich.

Perhaps Chris Jones? Hard to say...

Some have said they wanted an offensive guy this time. Is Dave Dickenson ready?

I dunno. I just think its a lot of risk again hoping that one isn't just another few years of wandering in the woods.

I've already thrown one name out there in Jeff Tedford. He has CFL experience, he has HC experience, he's developed far better QBs than even Cortez, and he's outside the typical box of regurgitation we normally see.

Okay...so that's one name. I'd be all for that btw, I think he would do wonders with Reilly. I'm just saying if you are restricting it to those with HC experience, your list is going to get awful short very quick.

And no, I do not see either Dickenson or Jones coming here.

I hear ya....but haven't we also had enough of a run with our last 4 HC's having no previous HCing experience?

It just hasn't been working for us...

I know that whatever way it shakes down, we have to do a far better job than we have in the past. No one wants to wait on another guy trying to find his way.

Whoever it is, has got to be the be the concensus pick as the best available guy out there.

All said though, Dan Hawkins had HC experience too (for all the good that did).

Too bad Dunigan wouldn't be interested in just a head coaching job by itself. I'm kind of wishful thinking that he would turn out to be a good coach the second time around after spending time in the television broadcast analysis job just like Ron Lancaster did on his second go around. Dunigan had a pretty cr*ppy situation in Calgary with the F-troop but didn't help himself by not following CFLPA rules either.

Totally with you on this! Would love to see Matty get another crack at head coaching!

Do you honestly think that in a town this size, coupled with the number of posters on this forum, that everybody is simply speculating?

I am not trying to be rude, so don't take it that way, but don't be naive.

                              Just asking.

You seem to be a big advocate, and I don't disagree with you, but do you know him or have relationships with anyone who played for him?

I realize that this site is a sort of gathering place for people that do have tidbits of inside info on the team but in general, there is still an awful lot of gaps to fill.
