GDT - Esks @ Lions

To call tonight’s game massive would be a huge understatement.

If the Esks win, they control their fate and the game against the Bombers will matter. Lose, and we need help next week or could be eliminated before our next game.

If the Lions win, they clinch a spot. Lose, and they too will not control their fate and need help on the out of town scoreboard the next couple weeks.

Lions are 6-1 at home, Esks are 2-6 on the road. That scares me.

The changes to the Oline last week allowed Reilly time to be himself, let’s hope they can handle BCs ferocious Dline. On the flip side, we need to keep Lulay uncomfortable and maybe get some clean hits on him as I don’t think he is 100%.

I am some kinda nervous right now!

Run the football successfully, no turnovers, no big plays given up by a still suspect STs and secondary. That, plus execution of the offensive game plan should take care of business.

Been a while since I have been this nervous for a game as I am for this.

Esks 50% on the season, 8 and 8. In theory, tonight anything can happen. Feeling a bit resigned to it all, still I am hoping for some magic.

That it is, I went for my workout at Commonwealth yesterday morning and saw the boys doing their walk-through, they looked pretty dialed in from what I could tell.
