Well i was one of the ones who did not want to fire Maas. I was concerned whoever was hired to replace him would be inferior.

I thought there were about 5 people on earth who would be a better coach.

Milanovich is one of them. If this is true, i will have to congratulate Brock for an excellent hire.

now if he can bring in some good db's and re - sign our best free agents i will be happy.

Im beyond ecstatic about this, I said from the beginning that Brock would have to hit a home-run in order to justify firing Maas and he did, this is an upgrade.

But I maintain that there was no logical way to predict this as a likely or even possible outcome, especially after rumours of Milanovich’s potential interest were immediately shot down. I’m more than happy to have been wrong though.

I like this hire...although his record in Toronto was not stellar, I like what he brings to the team from an offensive standpoint. It will be interesting to see how many of the assistants get offered jobs (other than Lolley who is still under contract)

As much as people like to rip on Campbell he is pretty well connected when it comes to the Esks, I suspect something must have changed between now and a couple weeks ago when the Esks initially reached out to Milanovich.

I hope he and Lolly get along because this goes along way to keeping our offence in tact so if we can continue to build on Lollys system as well we’ll be in good shape.
