Game #10 A must win against Ottawa Redblacks

Well said. And you're right, we all want the same things. Debate is healthy and I look forward to more of it. And squabbles happen. I'm glad that, ultimately, we all want the same thing. We want desperately for this team to return to their previous flagship status in this great league. Even if the team fails to make the playoffs this year (and it's still an uphill climb to say the least) then I can say I have legitimate hope going into next year, which is something I haven't had in a long time.@chadganske

The name change sure took its toll. Also Forums aren't as popular as they once were. Back then this was the place to get Eskimo news and discuss it. Now we have Podcasts, reddit, discord, youtube etc.... its sad because I find forums to be the best out of the bunchOriginally posted by Moose Head View Post
I'm sorry if you thought that's what I meant. The reason people don't post here like they used to is fairly obvious: the franchise has been in shambles for years and people have checked out. It's understandable. I only hope that people come back as the team repairs itself, on and off the field, because this used to be a very lively and entertaining forum. "A brotherhood of nasty Eskimos." Take this thread for instance. The team has won three in a row for the first time in seven years, the team finally has a glimmer of hope after years of being out of the playoffs by this time, and there are only three pages of posts. That's a far cry from how it used to be. And now, because so few people post, it gets a little tiring reading a squabble between people that turns personal. And it's certainly not just you guys. There have been other disputes that go on for weeks and get magnified simply because of how few posts there are.
For the record, I'm all for Cody Fajardo leading this team moving forward, but I'm certainly still on Tre's side as well. It's a luxury that this team hasn't had in a very long time--a veteran winner who is mentoring a young guy for the future. I'm all for it. And I don't buy into rumors about Cody valuing his completion percentage over winning. Some poster said that a few weeks ago (totally unsubstantiated) and it keeps getting repeated and now it's the truth. Imagine if that was how real journalism worked.

I don't buy the rumours either... but on the latter comment... with my little brush with fame last year, that's exactly how real journalism worked. Of the 150 articles written about it, only one reporter actually contacted me --- the original one. The other 149 copied and copied, made mistakes, and the mistakes got copied... it was an eye opener.Originally posted by Moose Head View PostAnd I don't buy into rumors about Cody valuing his completion percentage over winning. Out of my mind; back in five minutes.

And don't hold out. What was your brush with fame? That sounds exciting.Originally posted by glenvb View PostI don't buy the rumours either... but on the latter comment... with my little brush with fame last year, that's exactly how real journalism worked. You really are a "resident math geek" and it was super cool to get to know more about you and your accomplishments, and the decimal! Thanks for sharing this. I hope others on this board will read, or take a listen, to the links you shared because that's what this fan forum is all about. It's about getting to discuss football... but also getting to know one another. Thanks again, prof.Originally posted by glenvb View Post

Congratulations on the win streak. Still lots of work to do but at least you know your going to be in every game.
Ottawa is a decent team even without Dru Brown and it will be interesting to see how BC does against them in a couple of weeks. As for the game, credit special teams for being the difference imo not only with the return td but also on downfield tackling and maintaining field position. Both 41 and 51 stood out.
Should be a good game this week vs the Stamps.

If you don’t like my opinion , it’s to bad , did I mention your hall of fame qb in my comment ??? NO , has Cody has won a cup and proven he is a true leader , I’d be honoured to be president of his fan club , , I’d NEVER EVER ask ford for any type of autograph or picture, again if you don’t like my post TOO BAD!!!Originally posted by Esks4ever View Post
1, Ford must have hit your car, or would not sign something for you.
2. Congratz on being the president of the Farjardo fan club.

Cody must be doing something right he has a cup , something ford will NEVER have as a starter in this leagueOriginally posted by Esks4ever View PostThe one thing that pisses me off about Farjardo is, as it was rumored by someone - can't recall where, that he will take a sack to keep his completion percentage up.

In fact, I was interviewed on QR Calgary, the Stampeders' radio station. I considered revealing my loyalties during the interview and getting in a shot about the Elks' superiority, but I confess I chickened outOriginally posted by Moose Head View Post

Not sure this post held up well. Sure the defence struggled this season but we have new coaches, new systems and new players. It takes time. I was at the game and felt that, aside from the 3rd quarter and occasional breakdowns for some big gains, the D held strong. It seems to be coming together.Originally posted by Brock my Rock View PostJC joker defense cant stop **** ****.There are better things in the world than beer but beer sort of compensates for not getting them.
