Tillman is offering Rod Davis below market value (Anton Mackenzie comparison)

Is there any wonder why Rod is not signing here? Because penny pinching Tillman is offering him penauts...
Let me explain. Rod Davis was making league minimum last year, around 45K, he offered him a 30K raise which will make it 75K. A starting all star linebacker should be around 110-125K
Anton Mackenzie is very much comparable to Rod, they are both 31, they are all stars and they both can play mulitiple positions and Wally Buono is not known as a person who likes to throw money around. To the contrary he is fiscally responsible.
Tillman on the other hand is offering less than what is he worth... after Ray salary dump as well as Kabango's it is absolutley demoralizing as an eskimo fan... hope his rein end soon

First of all, do you have any sort of source for the information that Davis was making the league minimum. I find that to be a highly suspect statement given his NFL pedigree. This wasn't a guy that came straight out of college as an unheralded prospect. I don't know what he was making, but I don't find it believable that it was the minimum.

While there is plenty of reason to disagree with the philosophy that an organization or decision-maker takes, such as trading a star QB for a speculative return based on prospects, or releasing a veteran before the fans have seen an intolerable decline in play, you're talking about something quite differently when you suggest that Tillman is trying to low-ball a veteran player by $50,000 under market value. While certain teams may structure their salary such that there is a variance in what they'll set aside for a particular position, I don't believe that there is a player in this league where you'd see a divergence of opinion across all the GMs of $50,000 when assessing their market value/worth.

              Source?
              Anything?

And the voices in your head don't count as a source MF.

Delard, I am now selling oxygen tanks when you post. I will make a killing reviving all these Esksfans after they read your posts.

he was offered a 30k rise.. he wasnt on league min

imho.. a 30k rise is a substantial amount.. if your looking for a bigger payday.. ( and at the end of the day.. who isnt..) then let him go make his money..
