    Next Stop: Steel-town

This is a big game coming up for the Esks. This is a chance to make a HUGE statement to the league that we belong in the conversation with Hamilton.

I expect the Esks to surge into this one, riding a high from last weeks victory. They should be playing with a lot of confidence but at the same time, have a little chip on their shoulder due to what the Cats got away with in our barn a few weeks ago. The Eskimos have never lost to the same team twice in a season other than Calgary under coach Jones leadership.

The key to beating Hamilton seems to be getting after them early. You let them jump out to a lead in the 1st quarter and it's over, come in and punch 'em in the mouth right out of the game and you've got a shot. I expect our DL to be hungry for some sacks, maybe Mr. Simmons can share some insight into the the blocking schemes the Ti-Cats like to run offensively. If we can get to Collaros consistently, that takes a ton of pressure off the secondary.

This is gonna be a dogfight but I have a feeling something clicked with this team last week...We'll see if they can ride the wave starting this weekend.

    ^^^This helps too!

We'll see...Hamilton has been almost unbeatable at home, and we're coming off an emotional victory with a possible sag. But with new blood and Reilly under centre, who knows what will happen?
Out of my mind; back in five minutes.

Getting more pressure on Collaros will be key. That was a huge part of our failure last time.
Keep an open mind, and you never know who might walk in...

      RIP Pizmo

That's the thing, it usually goes one of two ways after that type of win, the momentum carries you forward, or you fall flat. I kind feel like this might be a case of the former given that we've had some guys return that help give us our swagger back offensively. And this seems like a very determined group especially with Mike Reilly at the helm.

Didn't realize Chambers would be practicing as well, that's good news!!!!

Last time we played the cats we had an offensive line that consisted of Washington, Groulx, Sorensen, Jones and Batiste with Nichols under center. This week we could have Washington, O'Donnell, Sorensen, Rottier and Batiste with Reilly under center.

          HUGE upgrade IMO

Montreal beat Hamilton at THF. We can too!
Hope, at the end of the day connects us all, no matter how different we are

Very glad to see Shamawd and Simeon back fully practicing. Can't wait to see this team healthy.

Chris O'Leary reports that Henoc Muamba is touring the Eskimos facilities today in his CFL signing tour. Maybe a reuniting with his baby brother?

I'd love to see him here, but I'm worried that redeploying the ratio would spell the end for JC...

Here's some audio from Shamawd at practice. To say he was ecstatic to be practicing with the team was an understatement.

Is adding Henoc over JC worth blowing up the Salary Cap? We have enough NI backups in players, so that's not an issue, but if this meant that we couldn't pick up a player like Pasztor if he shook loose, I wouldn't like that trade-off myself...

Perhaps, but sitting #44 Jones is an option, too.
Not sure if Rottier & Chambers will be ready to go in Hammy though, but Chambers will likely bump Bailey off the roster & Rottier would replace Ramsay on the roster, knowing that the versatile Eddie Steele could jump back over to the Oline in case of injury. Nice to have such depth!

Absolutely. OL Canadian depth trumps almost everything.

Thanks for that, Av. Sounds like an outstanding young man who loves being an Eskimo.

I honestly don't think Simeon will be ready this week unless he pulls an MR and beats the system. May be wrong, hope so... if he is ready.
