One of the worst pickups you can make. Pass on him. Go all out for Reilly as he's the only good CFL FA.

My fear is that they have to pay significant dollars to get Reilly and Nichols gets stapled to the bench because of it

In the grand scheme of things, Porter, Brink or Elliot are not the solution. Somewhere on the bench we do need some experience though.

Ahhh... thanks. Missed that... Personally, I think the guy's good... Always thought Richie Williams deserved a better shot, too... Neither one's ever been given a decent chance... Ti-Cats have always brought in someone to start ahead of both. I think if the Esks brought Porter in, he'd give Nichols/Joseph/whomever a good run for the starting job...

Please don't put Joseph in the conversation for the starter I just felt a soul chilling shiver when I read that...

What I would honestly do.. And it all depend is Nichols fitness.

For me I would have Nichols @ 1 a cfl savvy backup anyone of porter brink Elliot, etc etc.. Just someone who can run 2nd and short etc @2 and with masoli @3 still developing.. If we can sneak another young QB on the pr.. Fantastic.. Do it..

That's what I would do.. But obv it would depend on Nichols and the removal of the 2 j's

I would bring in Reilly and have him and Nichols battle it out during TC and the whole year if needed. Keep Masoli as #3...or Joseph for all I care as long as he's #3.

Chances are the loser of that QB battle will end up in Ottawa.

That's putting an awful lot of confidence in Nichols considering we would be turning the stater reigns over to someone who hasn't even won a game in the CFL yet and who seems a bit on the fragile side. I like Matt don't take me wrong but I don't want him to come out and reinjure himself in game 3 and have a year of watching porter, brink or elliott start. We definately need to bring in another starting caliber quarterback

I was thinking that myself...there are certain injuries that it doesn't matter who you are...something's gonna give. Matt's ankle is a perfect example.
